If you have BCBS coverage and anticipate needing Branchburg Lactation's services any time in the next year, please complete the Lactation Network pre-approval form by tomorrow July 14. TLN will be ending its affiliation with most BCBS plans after July 14 but anyone approved before that point will still have 6 visits covered. 11 years ago, I started Branchburg Lactation on a very part time basis as a parent of small children. That first year, I saw an average of 7 appointments per month as I was just figuring out how the world of private practice lactation worked.

For the first time this month (March 2025), we have over 100 appointments scheduled and are now a group of 6 IBCLCs, 4 interns plus an admin. I could have never envisioned handling this level of volume. We are extremely grateful for all the families we see as well as the kind referrals from pediatricians, hospital IBCLCs and clients' families and friends.

It's Dana here! On IBCLC Day, I wanted to take a moment to thank my incredible hard working associates for their outstanding care of new families and devotion to our craft and to continuous learning. I am so so fortunate to have Anna Spitaleri, Alana Dambrot, Danielle Tropea, Carly Fleming and Kelly DeMiro along on this crazy professional journey with me. You ladies are fantastic!

Who's met Leonardo the turtle at a prenatal consult? Tonight Leonardo joined Dana on a Zoom continuing ed session on latch basics for La Leche League of the Garden State. He does a great job demonstrating latch and positioning!

Such a delightful day for our quarterly Branchburg Lactation associate lunch! We had a lovely time getting to know our newer associates and interns better and just relaxing and enjoying time together.
