I have seen Thrive on Spring Street in Newton for years, even recommended it to clients numerous times throughout the years. Last night I experienced such a beautiful introduction in a beginners workshop that I just had to share this here. It may not be for everyone but that feeling of connection in this sisterhood was a profound experience and I’m so grateful that I leaned into that “dared” to sign up by myself to explore something I have been curious about.

Should you find yourself in Branchville for an in person appointment with me, make sure to leave a little extra time to explore the beautiful world of the Branchville scarecrows. This is the 10th anniversary and it is such a delight to drive or walk through the towns streets discovering the most delightful display. There is a Branchville scarecrow page which contains a map where displays are but they have popped up all over the town. Make sure to stop for some authentic Cuban food and according to my client yesterday food that taste like home❤️ PS these are just some of the remarkable displays

Virginia Woolf made this observation in one of her many diary entries, noting that when we’re living through a moment, we’re often too caught up in the immediacy of it to fully grasp its emotional significance. It’s only later, through memory and hindsight, that we can truly examine and appreciate the emotional weight of our experience. Our memories allow us to realize the full depth of a feeling we perhaps couldn’t process completely in real time, such as a childhood summer spent with family that seems far more magical and impactful in retrospect than it did while living it. For Woolf, this made the past a thing of beauty. As she wrote in a separate diary entry, “The present when backed by the past is a thousand times deeper than the present when it presses so close that you can feel nothing else, when the film on the camera reaches only the eye.”

When you feel you may be stranded, don’t immediately panic. Assess the situation, look around, go within, pause, reevaluate, and sometimes you just have to be for a little bit to catch your breath. 🙏❤️

Big things have been keeping me extra busy the last week. College move in -1 freshman, 2 seniors. Now that everyone is where they need to be, I can get back to some grounding, centering and most importantly resuming my normal schedule! Looking forward to meeting new clients and reconnecting with existing ones 🙏❤️
