At Brightside ABA, we believe that therapy is most effective when a child feels safe, heard, and respected. Respecting boundaries isn't just a "nice-to-have" it is a core part of our clinical ethics.
How does this look in practice?
Reading Body Language: Our therapists are trained to recognize subtle cues when a learner needs a break or feels overwhelmed.
Providing Choices: We empower our children by letting them choose their activities and reinforcements.
Positive Rapport: We focus on "pairing" first building a strong, joyful relationship before we begin working on goals.
By respecting their "no," we teach them the power of their voice and build a foundation of mutual trust.
