That's one of the most common questions we get, and it's an important one.☝🏼
At Sweet Child O' Mine Birth Center in Brandon, FL, we:
🪻Care for low-risk pregnancies
🪻Do not offer birth center care for VBAC, twins, breech, or for clients with diabetes or chronic hypertension

In addition to low risk pregnancies, we are often able to collaboratively care for clients with other risk factors like IVF, thyroid conditions etc. We will look at your risk factors and implement shared decision making to find out if birth center is right for you. 🙌🏼

🌿✨ Meet Lauren — Our New Midwife at Sweet Child O’Mine Birth Center! ✨🌿

We are thrilled to welcome Lauren, our newest Licensed Midwife, to the Sweet Child O’Mine family!💕

🌻Lauren’s journey in birth work began in 2009 and has been guided by passion, purpose, and deep compassion for families. From her early years as a WIC Peer Counselor Coordinator to her training as a full-spectrum doula, Lauren has spent more than a decade supporting families through every part of the reproductive journey.
A proud graduate of The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, Lauren brings a holistic, inclusive, and evidence-based approach to midwifery care. She’s also a mother of five—four born outside of hospital settings—giving her a uniquely personal understanding of both physiological and medically managed birth.
Beyond her professional calling, Lauren is a creative spirit who loves spinning fiber, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family of 20 years. 🌻
