Boone revisited; Day 1

Before moving back to FL there were a few places in Boone, NC I wanted to check out but didn’t get the chance to. Thankfully, I was able to take a recent trip back up and spend three days visiting a couple of those spots.

It was an instant hiker’s high once I touched dirt on the AT in Roan. I left the trail this day with a fresh breath and a happy heart. It’s pretty dope to feel the peace of Mother Earth when in Nature.

Hope to see you on the trails and remember, stay hiking, stay healing. ✌🏽💫

Annual Christmas Day Solo Night hike complete and this year, joined me. Thank you, my friend! 🙂

It’s been 2 months since I’ve relocated back to The Sunshine State, and to be honest, it’s been a little hard getting back on the trails. My body would say “let’s go” but my heart would say “slow down, let’s sit by the water instead”- and I listened. I trusted the process and understood the Trees will call me to visit when it’s time. And they did!

As this year comes to a close and Winter has begun, I’ve slowed down over the past couple of months and have taken the time to understand all of the lessons and stories it has given me.

I continue to be grateful. I continue to see the beauty in the things we don’t immediately understand and or want to accept. I continue to be authentic to myself and those who surround me. In return, Mother Earth continues to give me understanding, healing, and shared space and time with those who I care deeply for. I hope she can do the same for you.

Hope to see you on the trails and remember, stay hiking, stay healing. ✌🏽💫

This year, for “Thanksgiving”, I took a solo beach trip to give thanks to and sit with Mother Earth.

Usually, I’m called to meander in the woods, under tree canopies- but lately, I’ve been getting called to sit near and take in the energy of the ocean.

With each incoming wave, I breathe in life, love, and kindness back in to my heart and release all energy and feelings that are no longer supporting me in a positive way, with each wave that returns to the ocean.

This year I am most thankful for:

Choosing Life.
Wanting to live.
My Community.

“I no longer wanted to die when I realized I hadn’t yet lived.” - read this quote from a book I recently read, and it resonated with me in such a powerful way. That quote was me 4 years ago.

I’m glad I chose to stop and notice the beauty of life. The beauty within me. And the beauty that surrounded and loved me during a time I wanted to no longer exist.

I have learned so much about myself through this period of self-reflection, self-love, and healing. I feel whole. I feel awake. I feel ALIVE! I continue to grow and heal. I continue to spread love and light to everyone around me.

In a world full of chaos and so much emotion, be grateful. Life on Earth surrounds us with so much beauty. Slow down, stop, be present where you are, and let happiness in. Your heart and soul will thank you for it.

Hope to see you on the trails and remember, stay hiking, stay healing. ✌🏽💫

My sister surprise gifted me this thriving Mother-In-Law’s Tongue aka Snake Plant. 🥰

My adoration for plants was rekindled during my recent training as a Forest Therapy Guide. Since completing the program, my sister has helped nurture and deepen this connection.

Plants remind me that when we feel drained of life, we must learn to water ourselves. We do this with acts of self-love and gentle reminders of our worth. With practice and belief, these small acts take root — and like the plants, we, too, will rise, grow, and bloom. 🌿

Just as we water ourselves, our relationship with the land reminds us of reciprocity — it offers healing, energy, and renewal, and in return, I offer care, gratitude, and reverence. By tending to plants and supporting their growth, I nourish my own roots as well.

To my sister, , thank you for giving me more than just a plant! 💛🪴

Hope to see you on the trails and remember, stay hiking, stay healing. ✌🏽💫
