Great smiles don’t happen by accident, they’re designed.

These photos showcase the power of pre-planning with a diagnostic wax-up to correct an asymmetric smile.

Before any final restorations are made, we take the time to carefully design ideal tooth shape, proportion, and symmetry. The wax-up allows both the clinician and patient to visualize the outcome in advance, ensuring predictable, esthetic results.

From uneven, worn, and asymmetrical…
➡️ to balanced, harmonious, and confident.

This is where art meets precision, and where great dentistry begins.

👏 Collaboration. Planning. Ex*****on.

In dentistry, trends come and go. But gold crowns have stood the test of time.

From both a pure biological and functional perspective, they remain one of the most reliable restorations available. When it comes to longevity, nothing consistently beats gold. Gold crowns are known to routinely last 20–40+ years, which is why dentists have trusted them for decades.

If you have one, tell us in the comments…
How many years has your gold crown been going strong?

A small detail can create a big problem in an impression!

In this case, the molar made contact with the plastic impression tray, causing the tray to flex and drag across the material. That movement distorted the anatomy and created a mismatch between the prep and the bite when the case was mounted.

The result? The office had to bring the patient back for a new impression.

Before sending a case to the lab, take a quick team check:
• Ensure the tray is fully seated with proper clearance
• Check the impression for pulls, voids, or distortions
• Compare prep anatomy with the bite registration
• Confirm margins are clear and fully captured

Thirty seconds of review can prevent a remake, save chair time, and keep cases moving smoothly between the office and the lab.

Did you know we offer gold crowns?

While dentistry continues to evolve with new materials and technology, gold crowns remain one of the most reliable and long-lasting restorative options available. They’re incredibly durable, gentle on opposing teeth, and known for their precise fit and longevity.

For posterior restorations where strength, function, and wear resistance matter most, gold is still a trusted choice and we still make them!

Ever wonder how open margins happen when scanning?
Most of the time, it comes down to one simple issue: the margin wasn’t clearly visible in the scan.

Here are a few tips to help avoid open margins:

• Scanning subgingival margins requires a clear field of vision.
• Tissue retraction is always indicated, and any injectable retraction material must be completely removed before scanning.
• Cord retraction can remain in the sulcus to help provide a clearer view of the margins.
• Marking margins chairs ide can be helpful, especially while the preparation is fresh.
• If the scanner cannot capture a clear margin, the technician cannot see it.

Clear margins in your scan = more predictable restorations in the lab.
