Celebrating is fun! It’s National Gardening Day & I thought it would be great to talk about growth. I absolutely love plants and the way they look but I always seem to struggle with waiting for them to grow or watching one thrive while it seems like another one is struggling.

I saw this picture and it reminded me of therapy. Plants all grow at different rates because they have different roots, different needs, and different expectations. People are the same. We come from different places and experience different things, we all need differently, and we have different goals.

We often give ourselves labels. Whether or not we have ever sought mental health treatment we have labels. You are not depression, anxiety, bad, sick etc. You are who you are. I am Courtney and I am a therapist and I am so passionate about breaking down labels that burden or hold back.
