Scientists have discovered that CBD and THC – two well-known compounds found in cannabis – can significantly slow the growth of aggressive ovarian cancer cells in laboratory studies. When combined in a 1:1 ratio, these compounds not only suppress cancer cell proliferation but also prevent their spread and trigger programmed cell death, while causing minimal harm to healthy cells.

Notably, this approach was effective even against drug-resistant cancer cell lines, which are among the most challenging to treat in modern medicine.
