The Great Give raises money and awareness for hundreds of nonprofit organizations in Greater New Haven, including Orchard House Medical Adult Day Center.

Donations go further with valuable matching funds and prizes from The Community Foundation, the Valley Community Foundation, and other generous sponsors. Every gift helps us unlock these extra funds to support our mission!

Empowering Adults To Age In Place Since 1981

Orchard House began its mission of serving aging adults in 1981. Orchard House saw a need for a quality social engagement programs for people living with cognitive or physical impairment and responded by developing a program where participants could gather to socialize, share a meal, and engage in enriching recreational activities. A place for aging adults to feel safe, loved, and appreciated.

Orchard House is dedicated to keeping area seniors living at home as independently as possible, and for as long as possible, avoiding premature institutionalization in a nursing home. Orchard House offers adult day health care including programs of health monitoring and structured activities designed to meet the individual needs of clients and their families.
