A Day in the Life at Skaggs Foundation 💙

Yesterday started bright and early with an opportunity to speak about Skaggs Foundation with the Daybreakers Rotary Club- thank you for making us feel so welcomed!

We then gathered for the April Healthy Family Task Force Meeting, where we heard Carrie Padilla talk about the incredible work being done to support families through Unite Table Rock Lake.

We also spent part of the day at the Ozark Women in Leadership luncheon hearing Trudy Cathy White share about faith, family and leaving a lasting legacy.

It was truly an incredible day of connection, collaboration, and learning. We are grateful for the leadership, relationships, and inspiration that continue to pour into our team so we can best serve this community. 🩷

🍏 Skaggs Legacy Endowment Grant: Access to Care
Can you imagine managing diabetes but not being able to afford the shoes that help keep you on your feet?
For people living with diabetes, proper footwear is not a luxury. It can mean the difference between staying mobile and facing serious complications.
That is why we funded My Neighbor's Charitable Pharmacy and their Providing Diabetic Shoes to the Uninsured project through a Skaggs Legacy Endowment Grant. By offering medically designed shoes to uninsured individuals, this program helps prevent injury, protect independence, and support long term health.

🍏 Skaggs Legacy Endowment Grant: Healthy Lifestyles

This year, White River Community Development received two impactful grants for the BridgeFit program - a vital wellness resource for Rockaway Beach and surrounding communities.

🏋️‍♂️BridgeFit Expansion
These funds allow the program to grow its space and wellness activities that serves 4,000 residents, supporting both physical and mental health while creating more opportunities for connection and community.

💪 BridgeFit Scholarship Program
Through membership scholarships for youth, seniors, and first responders, BridgeFit is helping remove barriers to fitness and ensuring more neighbors can access the wellness resources they deserve.

With this grant support from Skaggs Foundation, BridgeFit is expanding its reach and strengthening its role as a cornerstone of community wellness.

From Forsyth School District to Washington University in St. Louis, Kollin's journey has been nothing short of inspiring! 💙

As a senior studying biology on a pre-med track, Kollin spends his time working in a cancer research lab, pursuing his dream of becoming a physician-scientist. His dedication to healthcare is exactly the kind of passion we love to support! 🔬✨
