🎧 Experiencing ringing in just one ear?

This condition, known as unilateral tinnitus, can stem from various causes, including earwax buildup, noise exposure, or more serious issues like Meniere’s disease or acoustic neuroma.

While often not an emergency, if your tinnitus is sudden, persistent, or accompanied by hearing loss or dizziness, it's crucial to consult a hearing specialist or other medical professional promptly. Early evaluation can help identify the cause and lead to effective treatment.

Did you know sudden hearing loss is a medical emergency?

If you or someone you know experiences a rapid loss of hearing — especially over hours or a few days — don’t wait. Early treatment is critical.

In addition to hearing loss, symptoms may include:

• A sudden “popping” sound
• Fullness or pressure in the ear
• Ringing (tinnitus)
• Dizziness or balance issues

Steroid treatment within the first few weeks can help prevent permanent hearing damage, so make an appointment right away if you or a loved one experience symptoms.
