I have been reading Tarot cards for about 20 years. To me, Tarot is a language and a reading is a puzzle to figure out. This week's reading was done on a deck that I wouldn't have chosen for myself- but I actually love. My husband got The Pulp Tarot for me. He has a tendency to know what I will like, even if I do not. I actually love this deck and it is nothing like any other Tarot deck that I have.It is beautiful and vibrant, and has a sense of nostalgia to it that I adore. It makes me look up birds that I do not recognize a lot, and I appreciate that! I am learning a lot about Birds while working with this deck. Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 2/2/26:

Happy halfway point of Winter! This week, I am starting up my online Tarot class, 78 Days of Tarot. It is a class I used to teach constantly, and now I only run it once every year or two. It is the class that so many have said unlocked Tarot for them. I think that the reason for this is that the class focuses on intuition and relationship with the cards, as opposed to memorization. It is a journey- not a class. Let me know if you wish to join!

78 Days of Tarot begins on 2/4! I call it a class, but it is truly a journey that we take together. We jump right into Tarot, focusing on relationship to the cards more than memorization. I never quite know what will happen, and every single group is different. The class always forms a lovely community of support and friendship, and that is something that we could all use in the world these days!

The cost of the class is $20 a week for a total of 16 weeks (total 320 altogether). You can pay all at once or weekly- in fact, I am open to any payment plan that works for you! I have had people pay me $10 a week for double the time, and that is fine too! I am most concerned with pulling together the people who are meant to be on this journey and helping to make that happen.

78 days of Tarot is meant to fit Any schedule. There is not a set time that you have to be available, the class is made to fit your lifestyle allowing you to attend and catch up when it is best for you.

My hope is to draw a good community that is happy to jump into an ancient oracle and see what happens. My goal is to add some enchantment to every day, and remind us all that there is more to the world around us than meets the eye.

I read cards for people, which often gives me a bit of a 'temperature gauge" to how people are feeling. Lately, what I have been hearing from a lot of people is that there is a sense of disenchantment. A lack of hope and depression. A feeling that there is no depth to anything, and everything from anxiety to apathy.

78 Days of Tarot begins on 2/4. The class brings you day by day through an ancient oracle, reminding us that there is a meaning and purpose to all we are experiencing. We look at the meaning of the cards, and then we look at what is happening in ourselves and around us. Tarot reminds me that there is so much going on that I am Not seeing, and brings my feet back to the ground. Does it sound crazy that Tarot keeps me spiritually grounded? People think the opposite about things like Tarot- but we are in a crazy world, and Tarot is familiar with times like these.

So, step onto this journey with me. You won't have to leave your home. There will not be set times to attend. I am offering a distraction that will deepen your understanding of yourself and the world around you. Tarot speaks in every language, religion, symbol and spiritual path. I have seen the cards re-enchant people and remind them of what is important. I am one of those people.

78 days of Tarot will begin right at the time of balance between Winter and Spring. The beginning of February marks the halfway point of Winter. It is the time where the earth begins to stir in preparation for Spring. If you are paying attention, the first and second half of every season feels different.

But for people, the second half of Winter can feel long and tiring. Endless cold, snow and grey skies tend to bring even the most cheerful down.

78 days gives you a task for the second half of Winter and will take you all the way to Spring. By the time the warm weather has arrived, you will have a whole new skill and practice.

Instead of it being Wednesday in the center of the dark and cold months- it will be the day of The High Priestess, and we will talk about silence and meditation. Or the day of The Sun, and we will remember the light and the happiness it brings. The Wheel of Fortune will spin us into deep conversations of the powers of Fate and the Hierophant will make us wonder about what our own traditions and beliefs have. We don't just study Tarot- we let it into ourselves. We truly get to know the cards as friends.

But I actually never know what will happen. It always depends on who joins me on the journey.

Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 1.26.26:

Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings! I do hope everyone is doing ok in the storm out there. Snow and ice and chaos in more ways than one. Where I live, it looks like we will get a few feet of snow! Let's see- weather prediction is far more iffy than Tarot prediction in my opinion. ;) Stay warm and safe and off the roads. It's a good day to slow down, and so I decided to do today's reading on The Slow Tarot by Lacey Bryant (and influenced by a favorite tarot reader of mine- Drew Clark). I love working with this beautiful deck and it does remind me to slow down. I was told that the artist spent a lot of time crafting the Cups cards of the deck; researching by way of painting various types of special tea cups. I love the attention to detail and the dark whimsy of this deck. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. The world is loud out there- have you noticed?

So many of us wake up in the morning and worry. We read the news. We read comment sections. We start the day feeling anxious and upset. And you know what? That's not good. From a place of Magic, I believe that Beginnings have omens. Starting your day in an anxious and unsettled way predicts that the rest of the day will follow suit.

I am here to offer an alternative.. hear me out. You wake up and the card of the day is The Fool. You spend some time looking at the card as you sip your morning cup of coffee or tea. It's important to let the card talk to you, and morning is a great time for this. Then, you hop online and see a post about the Fool with a variety of ways that you can connect to that card and energy. Some people have already commented on the Fool post with songs that remind them of The Fool or poetry that speaks to the type of freedom and formlessness that The Fool represents. People speak of their experiences being the Fool or knowing the Fool. Some will decide that this kind of energy bothers them, and speak up. Others agree and a discussion ensues where you look at your past and history. Others will think that the Fool embodies all that they wish to be, and speak of that. There are disagreements in the most respectful way- something we rarely see now. You take The Fool with you and let the card lead the way. You never know what you will find. And at the end of the day, you come back to more detailed information about The Fool on the page. And you go to sleep knowing so much more about The Fool than you did before. And the next day? It will be the day of The Magician.

78 days of Tarot provides enchantment to brand new people and seasoned readers alike. It is a really nice way to spend your days. I know I am looking forward to it. I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years, and I learn so much every time I jump in with a group and just let the cards lead the way.
