🎉 Big Coat Drop Alert! 🧥💛
We are so grateful for an incredibly generous donation — nearly 50 brand new coats plus hats, socks, snowpants and gloves! 🧤🧦

Thanks to this kindness, so many local families will be warm and cozy this winter. 💕
A huge thank-you to our amazing donor for spreading warmth in every sense of the word!

🎃 Need a last minute costume, under layers for your current pick or a coat for over top of it? Boy do we have good stuff for you! Come see us this Wed 1-3 PM or Sat 10 AM-12 PM. We recently got a big donation of winter coats & most are new with tags. Lots of amazing jackets for the 6-14ish age range specifically, but as always, we are stocked with all sizes preemie to teen as well as pregnancy clothing. Some items to note:
👜 We have some awesome diaper bags in right now as well as 2 portable changing mats & 2 backpacks
👩‍🦰 An Ariel wig was brought in as well as some figurines of her if your kid is into The Little Mermaid 🧜‍♀️
👻 If you’re a “boo basket” household with a baby, we got in this “my first boo” bib!
🎃 A pumpkin smuggler pregnancy shirt & some stretchy ghost leggings are here!
👯‍♂️ We have 2 big Halloween bins of costumes you can sort through, but some are on display for kids of varying sizes!
👶 We got a baby doll with a tiny pack n play & bottle as well as a mesh bath seat for a real baby 😝

👋 Wanted to give folks a gentle reminder from our tiny team of volunteers who run The Village Closet… PLEASE do not dump in front of our door. We could lose our space! Always come inside the closet to meet the volunteer & tell them exactly what you’re donating. If you don’t know what we take, our donation guidelines are pictured in the last photo of this post, on the wall inside of the closet & are always on our website.

Additionally, we are so grateful you consider us before sending items to the landfill, but The Village Closet is a vital community resource, not a dump! If your items are soiled, damaged beyond repair, missing parts, etc. we just cannot accept them. We do not have an area to wash your donations (we wish! 😝) We understand that everyone is just doing their best, but please consider the condition of your items before bringing them to us.

This all being said, we have MANY items we don’t usually accept that we now need to find homes for so our shoppers have space to walk around! We currently we have (updated 10/22):
-3 baby baths

If you or someone you know could use any of these items, please come see us this Wed 1-3 PM or Sat 10 AM-12 PM!
🎃 We have tons of Halloween costumes for your kids!
❄️ Our winter gear is out! Lots of jackets, boots, etc.
🤰 Pregnancy clothes, postpartum care & much more!

Some recent new donations to note:
👟 We received many new pairs of shoes with tags
👗 Still displaying some nice summer dresses before the end of the season
👒 Lots of lovely sun hats
🛁 Still swimming in baby baths over here!

Come get what you need this Sat 10 AM-12 PM 😁 Lots of new donations came in during our open hours today 1-3 PM 🫶 Our community is the best!
New items to note:
🤱 Someone kindly donated what seems to be their entire nursing & pregnancy wardrobe so we have lots of new, great stuff on that rack!
🧩 Lots of wooden puzzles came in for those little ones getting into shape sorting
🏊 We've gotten lots of new swimwear, some googles & a few floaties for your summer swim days!
🛝 We have a handful of tummy time mats/activity gyms in amazing shape!
👕 Our clothing bins are bursting at the seams! We have tons of 0-3, 3-6 & 12-18 month as well as MANY big kid & teen clothes at the moment.
See you Saturday 10 AM-12 PM or next Wednesday 1-3 PM!

Stop by & shop this Saturday from 10 AM-12 PM! We have so many great summer goodies & baby supplies. A couple things to note!
🚫 We are no longer accepting baby bathtub donations. We simply have too many for our small space!
🪑 We don't have room for any more large items. The ones pictured in pic 6 are left over from the Day of Play event & we are actively trying to rehome them! Speaking of which...
👩‍🍼 We have 2 walkers, 1 riding scooter, 1 baby basketball toy, 1 activity gym & 1 diaper pail available for your little ones! We also have about... 6 or 7 baby tubs 😂
🧩 We are swimming in puzzle & board game donations right now. Need something to bring on a family camping trip this summer? Stop by & grab one!
🎲 We got a big box of legos donated today (shown in last pic) if any of your kiddos are into those!

⏰ The Village Closet is open NOW 1-3 PM for your baby & pregnancy gear needs! Come see us!
Items to note:
🪑 We actually have some larger items left over from Day of Play that we don't typically carry! Walkers, bouncy seats, etc. (pictured)
🚽 Potty training? We have lots of potty seats at the moment!
🛁 Need a baby bath? We have 5!
🍼 We've got lots of donations of glass bottles from Avent & Dr. Browns
👶 Lots of diapers (size 3 disposable) & many bins of cloth!
🫂 Many baby carriers: structured & wraps for you to cuddle your babe!
👗 Lots of fun summer clothes & dresses
🧺 Bins that are overflowing: 0-3 mo, 3-6 mo, 6-9 mo, 18 mo, 24 mo/2T & teen clothes!

🎉 New & Updated Hours at The Village Closet! 🎉

Starting Wednesday, July 9th, we’re shifting our weekday hours —
we’ll now be open on Wednesdays from 1–3 PM! 🕐💛

And don’t worry — we’re still open every Saturday from 10 AM–12 PM 🛍️🎈

We’re excited for this update and hope it makes visits easier for more families.
We understand this change might be an adjustment, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
