I take a holistic approach that bridges Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Psychosynthesis, which is built on seeing, understanding, and loving ALL of you. There are not parts of you that are “good” and parts of you that are “bad.” All of your life has led to all of the person you are and we’re going to find each of those parts and help them to find the care that they need to make you whole, lovin
g, and centered. I’m your partner and, at most, a kind of guide. This is you and I working in tandem to find what you need and then getting those needs met. You are, and must be, the center of this work. Mental and emotional health—the kind where you can love and accept every part of yourself—is the bringing forth of who you are meant to be, your best you. That is something no one can give to you, but it is something that you and I can find inside you, together. All of my work starts with a conversation. Contact me to start that conversation. NVC- Nonviolent communication has a few basic principles: Every action is an attempt to meet a need, Human needs are universal, Feelings result from needs being met or unmet, and everyone’s needs matter equally. Psychosynthesis is a map of the human psyche, a holistic way to understand human development, the basic idea is that we are always trying to grow and evolve into more of our authentic selves. One basic principle is that we are made up of parts, and that we are more than our parts. Another is that we assume synthesis, or growth is always trying to happen. Life is constantly trying to push us past our own limited beliefs and outdated strategies into wholeness and happiness. About Robin: My work is endlessly engaging for me because, like any of us, I’m never done learning—never done growing. To a great extent, this is because I learn so much from each of my clients. I often say, “I never have the same client twice,” by which I mean that every person is different every day—from each other, of course, but also from who they were the day before. My practice focuses on connecting anew with every client, regardless of where they are on their own journey or the one we are all on together. Anyone who has looked into different methodologies and modalities of finding peace and clarity has found a seemingly infinite number of ways to “get there.” Although some (even many) might work for you, no single method, especially one that controls the narrative of your wellness, can meet every need. I have been, and continue to be, on my own personal journey. I have looked at many “ways” from many places and perspectives. Rather than picking one, I bring a number of them together to create frames for our work together. I say frames because my approach isn’t the answer, but is simply framing the way we will get to your answers, together.
