From spreadsheets to screenplays, Heaven Ramirez, our incredible Administrative Analyst & Assistant, brings organization, creativity, and a little movie magic to everything she does. 🎬✨
She’s a film buff, a Corgi lover 🐶, and probably the only person who could turn a to-do list into a plot twist. To celebrate 3 amazing years, we asked her a few fun questions.
Q: If your CareerSmart journey were a movie, what would the title be?
A: Tales From the State
Q: Which movie character do you relate to most, and why?
A: “In high school, Enid Coleslaw from Ghost World felt like looking in a mirror. As I’ve gotten older, I see myself in Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service, Wall-E, Elio from Call Me by Your Name, and Mason from Boyhood.”
Q: One film everyone should watch at least once?
A: Jeanne Dielman, 23 Commerce Quay, 1080 Brussels.
“There’s an art to creating tension without explosions or car chases. It can be as simple as a woman overboiling potatoes. It also highlights the invisible nature of feminized labor.”
Q: Your ultimate movie marathon includes...
A: How to Marry a Millionaire, Bottoms, and 9 to 5.
“Fun films with incredible on-screen chemistry between women!”
Q: Go-to comfort movie after a long day?
A: Dumb and Dumber. “And it’s not even close.”
Q: Who would play you in a movie about your life?
A: Aubrey Plaza or Jenna Ortega. Any weird, offbeat Latina will do.
Q: If you could bring a Corgi to work, what would their name be, and what would they do?
A: Ingmar—he’d be chilling at my feet, waiting for me to drop food.
Q: Which movie would be 10x better with a Corgi lead?
A: Elizabethtown. “That film needed a Corgi so badly.”
Q: Dream Corgi movie role?
A: Action film Corgi—John Wick style. 🎬🐾
Q: Would you rather watch your favorite movie with a Corgi or be in it as a Corgi?
A: “Can’t choose—so I say both!”
Q: Favorite Corgi from pop culture?
A; Maxine the Fluffy Corgi. She’s such a queen.
Heaven, thank you for three years of dedication, humor, and heart!
