We had a great turnout for our Wine & Cheese event on a hot summer day. We offered a charcuterie board with cotton candy grapes, pitted cherries, some cheeses, and salami with crackers. Cupcakes were served as a farewell to our friend Randy, who is relocating to his daughter's in another state.

We all love the beach, and had a fantastic trip to Balboa Beach pier where we had lunch at Ruby's and enjoyed the beautiful beach scenery. What a great outing! We hope to recreate as much as we can this summer.

Jazz in July, our Brookdale Brea evening extravaganza, was such a blast. Residents and professionals loved the music in the courtyard. We offered a lavish buffet of Jambalaya, Po boy shrimp sandwiches, and Beignets, served with lemon champagne punch. Guests got to create their own hats with patches. Jazz music was playing in the background. The event was enjoyed by all.

Soon after Golee moved into Brookdale Browns Creek, she looked across the dining table and saw a familiar face. Peggy had worked with her at a local school for more than 20 years, and they were reunited once again! Life had brought them full circle, and we can't wait to see them take on this new chapter together. 💙

We had a great time at Cal State Fullerton Arboretum this week. We had a subway lunch picnic followed by a nice hike through the beautiful Arboretum. The ladies really enjoyed the outing.

The 4th of July was a lot of fun at Brookdale Brea. We had some patriotic exercises followed by a delicious BBQ lunch and entertainment from Chris Johnson in the dining room at 2. Residents and staff all dressed up for the occasion and celebrated with friends and family. Happy Birthday, America!

Father's Day Brunch and our Sock Hop festivities were a big hit with staff, residents and their families. We started off with a diner-style meal of hamburgers & hot dogs, sweet potato fries or onion rings and chocolate or vanilla milkshakes! We enjoyed entertainment with Elvis Presley in the afternoon. What a great way to honor our dads.
