There are lots of reasons for wanting to get a concealed carry license. And while your “𝐖𝐇𝐘” may be different than someone else’s, the “𝐇𝐎𝐖” requires that you understand and follow a specific process for getting a license to carry concealed.

Whether you're new to owning a firearm or have had a gun for home defense for years, getting a concealed handgun license may seem daunting. It doesn't have to be. There are many reasons and ways to carry a concealed weapon, but the first step is knowing California's concealed carry laws.

Steps To Get a California Concealed Carry License from Orange County Sheriff’s Department

1. CONTACT your OCSD Orange County Sheriff’s Department to verify the application process and the approved training courses.

2. COMPLETE an approved training course presented by 𝟱𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗟𝗖 or provide proof of exemption (active duty or honorably retired military, law enforcement, etc.) pursuant to California Penal Code Section 31700.

3. VERIFY with your local sheriff if your jurisdiction requires a psychological evaluation.

4. SUBMIT the application and documents as required.

5. IN-PERSON VISIT -- Do not bring any fi****ms unless instructed to do so by the county sheriff’s office. You will also need the following:
• Your training certificate

• Proof of residency

• Original birth certificate, naturalization certificate or valid U.S. passport

• California driver’s license or California Identification card
You will be fingerprinted, photographed and interviewed.

6. CHECK YOUR MAILBOX -- You will be notified by mail within 90 days if your application has been approved or denied.

The majority of home invasions in America take place between the hours of 10am and 3pm. When criminals who just want to get in and out without any trouble assume that you'll be elsewhere.

• 27% of which resulted in the residents being victims of violent crime.
• The DOJ reported the use of weapons in the majority of these robberies.
• 41% of which involved fi****ms.
• 7.8% included knives or other cutting devices.
• And an additional 42.5% used "strong-arm" tactics, whether verbal or physical.

𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗻 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀,

Once again, Judge (Saint) Benitez has given us back a little more of our Constitutionally-protect Rights. It's interesting to note that (seeing what the DOJ has done in response to his prior rulings) he has not allowed the state to stay his ruling. That means that the DOJ will need to petition the 9th Circuit to counter his ruling.

Of course, the DOJ will file their stay, and the 9th Circuit will approve it. And so it goes.

But for now. We have another "Freedom Week," so get your ammo while you can!

Judge (Saint) Benitez has given us back a little more of our Constitutionally-protect Rights.

𝑩𝑰𝑳𝑳 - 𝑫𝑬𝑭𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑫!

Took effect on January 1, 2024. Was found 𝙐𝙉𝙀𝙉𝙁𝙊𝙍𝘾𝙀𝘼𝘽𝙇𝙀 due to federal court injunctions. It will likely be overturned through the appeal process and be 𝘿𝙀𝙀𝙈𝙀𝘿 𝙐𝙉𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙏𝙐𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇.

SB-2 of 2023 is the California Government's tyrannical and childish "𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚" bill which is a reaction to the Bruen Supreme Court decision.

𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙖'𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙡𝙖𝙬 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙮 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙪𝙚𝙣, 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙘𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙙. The current California liberal, anti-self-defense governor, attorney general, and legislators don't like the Supreme Court's decision on June 23, 2022.

The bill totally ignores a direct order from the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that California’s unconstitutional SB-2 should not make the entire state "a sensitive place."

May v. Bonta appears to be the contender suit for challenging SB-2; further info regarding court cases will be posted as necessary. Two separate injunctions have been granted.

Far-left governor Newsom & Attorney General Bonta and legislators should be educated enough to appreciate that the rate at which concealed carry license holders commit crimes is extremely low, with multiple studies showing that CCW license holders are among the most law-abiding, vetted, and scrutinized citizens in California and throughout the United States.

Should you still apply for a CCW License? ABSOLUTELY. Police are far more likely to grant you leeway if you have a CCW than if you don't. Having a CCW License now is better than waiting for the positive legal challenges that are certain to come soon.

Guns can be a polarizing issue, but no matter where you stand on the spectrum of gun ownership, knowing how to use, handle, and operate a gun safely is an essential skill. Unfortunately, as gun sales continue to rise in the United States, we're ending up with more and more people who have guns but don't know how to use them effectively and responsibly.

At 𝟱𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧, LLC - 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆, we believe learning to shoot a gun is a vital skill everyone should have. Therefore, our simulated laser gun range was founded on providing a safe, safe, safe educational, and judgment-free facility where individuals of all skill levels could learn to shoot a gun responsibly.

A gun is just a tool and only as dangerous as the person using it. And so, we aim to teach gun safety and the proper fundamentals of handling a firearm, shooting a gun, and building the confidence necessary to be a responsible gun owner.

𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩: 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩.

Learning to use a gun can be more rewarding than you think. Even if you don’t own a gun or have never held a gun in your hand, once you master the safe handling fundamentals of adequately handling and shooting a gun, your entire outlook can change.

One of the most critical aspects of our gun training classes at 5150 HEAT is that learning to shoot a gun can teach responsibility and discipline with practice. Almost anyone can learn how to shoot a firearm safely and accurately. Through our available training sessions, individuals of all skill levels can master the basics and beyond to grow their confidence and skill level.

I am a Retired L.E.O (Law Enforcement Officer) with more than 30 years of honorable service to both the Buena Park Police Department and Brea Police Department, as well as the City of Yorba Linda and citizens throughout California. My experience extends to virtually every aspect of the law enforcement profession.

Our workshops are small, hands-on, and interactive, and create a wide learning experience. Questions and participation are encouraged throughout the Workshop. Each topic is aimed at building confidence to learn proper gun etiquette, vocabulary and to ALWAYS practice SAFETY! Students gain useful defensive shooting information that leads to skills development. Students learn valuable handgun knowledge, and essential fi****ms fundamentals, develop intelligent defensive tactics, and establish fundamental 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗠𝗔𝗡𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 skills, to improve proficiency and determine which handgun is right for them. A valuable effort in teaching each student how to defend themselves and their family for that dark night when the “𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗦” are at the door.

You can’t avoid it…

I believe in being peaceful and avoiding conflict at 𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝘾𝙊𝙎𝙏𝙎, but I also know this:

𝙀𝙫𝙞𝙡 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨, 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙨.

And as American citizens, each of us has a natural-born and inalienable right to self-protection. Recently confirmed by the 𝙎𝙐𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙈𝙀 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙏!

Now, a gun can’t be good or bad — it’s simply a thing — a tool — a precision machine.

Case in Point: I loaded one, set it on my workbench, cocked it, and pointed it at a target… And after 24 hours the gun never fired. Not once. Never!

Our next movie list for WW2 MOVIES ONLY (Made pre 1980) I consider myself an expert in WW2 films this list should be pretty extensive. Again I’m sure there will be plenty of debate. Movie are picked based on historically accurate depictions to include gear, vehicles and equipment, as well as story and production quality.

1. Battleground - Made in the late 1940s Battleground told the story of the Battle of the Bulge as seen by the soldiers of the 327th GIR. It is praised for hyper accurate portrayal of the battle as well as solid acting. The movie was the first time on film that soldiers of the US were portrayed as angry, bitter and expressing doubt in the cause.

2. Ernie Pyle’s The Story of GI Joe - Written by the famous frontline battlefield reporter Ernie Pyle the story follows a platoon of infantry as they slog their way from the sands of North Africa up Italy’s deadly boot. The movie features great performances by Robert Mitchum and Burgess Meredith.

3. Run Silent Run Deep - Written by decorated submarine commander Ned Beach this story takes us out on patrol in a Balao class submarine with Burt Lancaster and Clark Gable providing lots of tension as two officers with two different ideas on how to accomplish a mission. The submarine scenes provide lots of great shots and the model ships look better than usual in this epic thriller.

4. Go For Broke - The story of the 442nd all Japanese infantry combat team as told through the eyes of the soldiers themselves. Van Johnson returns to war movies as the studio attempts to capitalize on the financial success of Battleground. The only problem here is a less lavish budget meant lower quality film .

5. The Sands of Iwo Jima - The Duke makes the list with this battle hardened epic that follows a platoon of Marines from Bloody Tarawa, to New Zealand and finally Iwo Jima. The USMC invested heavily in this movie even allowing John Wayne to use the actual flag from Iwo Jima in the films raising the flag scene, rumor is Wayne was so nervous about its safety he carried it folded in his shirt for safe keeping. Wayne turns in a fine performance as the platoons tough as nails yet flawed Sgt John M. Stryker.
