Drop in to a prenatal yoga class in the studio, virtually or on-demand or try group pregnancy coaching The ultimate place to come for all things pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Serving all the mamas since 2012. Unfold Motherhood + Wellness exists to empower, educate and nurture women through all ages and stages. For pregnancy and motherhood we offer everything you need to have an empowering pregnancy and postpartum experience. Prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, moms groups, childbirth education, birth doula services, pregnancy coaching, postpartum education, placenta encapsulation and more! For general wellness and the key to destressing, we offer sound baths and gentle yoga and meditation classes. Currently offering small group classes in-studio, outdoor classes, virtual and on-demand classes and workshops. Some things we offer:
Prenatal yoga, childbirth education, birth coaching, birth services, placenta encapsulation. Postnatal Yoga, baby and me yoga, postnatal fitness, moms groups. Pelvic floor workshops

Online pregnancy courses with live birth coaching. Prenatal yoga teacher training

Sound baths, restorative yoga, yin yoga, functional movement and mobility. Specialty workshops: Vision board workshops, breathwork, meditation and more.

7 years ago today I had such a healing birth with my amazing midwife

My prior birth caused so much trauma but launched me into the work I do today.

I wish that with my first that I was more educated and prepared. (And supported!)

But with my 2nd, nearly 6 years later, I sure was! I had an amazing birth team, a birth doula, an acupuncturist who really helped things along, I was prepared for postpartum, and I had done the work to mentally be ready for birth.

It was a great, lovely, sweet, empowering experience.

I am not saying you have to have a home birth to have a good experience but you have to do the work and find your people. You need to trust your care providers and know your options.

Do the work, it will make your experience so much better. And your experience during pregnancy, birth and postpartum matter. They shape your pregnancy journey and who you are and what you carry with you.

As a birth partner or support person it is your job to ask all the questions. A lot of times mom is not in the head space to really understand what is being said or happening.

➡️ Ask lots of questions, get clarity and dont be embarrassed to keep asking questions until you understand.

➡️ Not sure what to ask? Use your BRAIN
Benefits?
Risks?
Alternatives?
Intuition...
Need more time to decide?

➡️ It can also be helpful to repeat things the care provider says or what they want to do (“the nurse is here she would like to check your temperature”), to mom.

➡️ And do not ask mom questions during a contraction. Wait till it is over to ask questions or have her do something.

➡️ My next Prenatal Partner Workshops are Saturday, November 5th and December 3rd. Space is limited and these workshops will fill up. You can take them anytime during pregnancy.

We tend to make everything so much harder than it needs to be.

Keep it simple. Let it be easy and there you can also find some ease.

10 years ago….we were putting down the flooring in the yoga studio! That feels bitter sweet, but it is also pretty amazing to have literally built an amazing community out of nothing. An entire decade of Unfold! A simple space that blossomed into so much more.

I love that this community still exists, is still growing and flourishing in its owns ways. I am leaning into the fact that I do not need a space as I start to navigate what the next year has in store.

I am just proud of what I have created and how this community has used these offerings to grow, flourish and find connections.

As I look back on a decade of my work and forward to a new year and so many new adventures, know that I am really thankful for you, your support, your energy and your friendship. 💛

I hope you find inspiration and follow your goals and dreams and trust your gut. Who knows where it will lead you!

No matter what life stage you are in, you are your own best advocate.

Advocating for yourself is so important. During pregnancy and in all phases of life, for yourself and for your children.

Education is key. Because if you do not know your options you do not have any.
