I used to think prayer was an action. It was hands folded, head bowed over my dinner, reciting the words that I was supposed to say. I’ve since discovered that, for me, prayer is a state of being. It’s a place where every breath is filled with gratitude for everything, just the way it is. It’s not a place I go to ask for something specific. It’s not a place I go to complain. Or to list my grievances. Or to share my successes. It’s a place where I go to bathe in the light of my authentic soul. And in that bath, everything is right with the world. All of the joy, all of the sorrow; it all exists as one.

If things are escalating, remember your center. You’ll serve yourself and others more effectively from there. Stay present. Or don’t, do as you please. I love you. 💖🧘‍♀️

My path towards inner peace has been messy, raw, vulnerable; and is very much still a work in progress. It’s been a practice of eliminating everything that wasn’t pure and true. I have not been perfect in my discernment as I’ve walked this path. But with each choice that discernment has been sharpened.

And I think that’s all I have to say about that. 🙃
