Wednesday, November 30, 2016. We will be burning in the pile units located adjacent(East) of the Highlands Neighborhhod in Breckenridge, South of Red Tail Ranch, and in the Spruce Valley Ranch area of Blue River

Fire Management personnel will continue pile burning operations today, Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Piles will be burned in units located adjacent (East) of the Highlands Neighborhood in Breckenridge, South of Red Tail Ranch, and in the Spruce Valley Ranch area of Blue River.

Smoke and flames may be visible from Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, and Breckenridge, including all main Highway Corridors. Fire management personnel will be on scene during the day in order to monitor potential smoke impacts and fuel consumption, and will monitor periodically over the next few days until the piles are out.

Pile burning reduces fuel loading that occurred during hazard tree and fuels reduction.
