Pay: Tip-based position ($25/hr plus tips)
Position Summary
As an IV Infusion nurse, you will insert, monitor and remove an IV used to give medications and vitamins to our clients. During the IV therapy, the nurse will monitor the client for adverse reactions and ensures that the tubing, bandages and needle stay in place. During the IV therapy process, the nurse documents all patient-related activities and records the vitamins/medications used.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Clock-in and clock-out of Vagaro
· At start and end of shift
· According to company policy for off-site events
· Answer phone with enthusiasm, stating your name and the location you are at
· Listen and reply to voicemails first thing each morning
· Greet clients and explain our process
· Assist with client check in procedure
· Perform client assessment, obtain vital signs and complete intake form
· Complete client treatment form and obtain medical release form
· Sell add-ons, packages and memberships
· Update nursing notes, membership agreements
· Maintain a high standard of customer service including
· Greet client /thank them for coming in.
· Introduce self by name and using credentials.
· Explain procedure thoroughly including type of bag, ingredients, expectations and time frame.
· Place client in position of comfort
· Continuously monitoring client during service
· Conclude treatments by discontinuing IV and using coban bandage.
· Continue educating and selling Elite products to clients that will benefit.
· Spike IV bags and mix meds and vitamins
· Use clean techniques to draw and inject vitamins into each bag
· Avoid contaminating vials by using mini spikes; replace each Monday
· If giving glutathione and Vitamin C in the same infusion, separate ingredients to maintain the efficacy of each vitamin.
· Continuous stocking throughout the day
· Inventory at the end of each shift
o Maintain a clean workspace (no needles, vials, or other supplies laying around)
· Keep lounge presentable throughout shift (Checking restrooms periodically)
· Each client gets vitals checked each time. If out of range, use automatic blood pressure cuff with a 15-minute window of time to relax. Make note if client is turned away.
