INNOVATIVE PEDIATRIC SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, and ABA THERAPY

Reaching New Heights offers one on one private speech and language therapy in a comfortable setting. The clients will benefit from individually designed therapy based on an initial evaluation. This therapy can be a supplement to services provided in school or as an option for children who are not receiving school services.

~WHAT DOES AN INITIAL EVALUATION LOOK LIKE? After you make an appointment for your child to have an initial evaluation, a short questionnaire will be mailed to your home. Based on your concerns, formal and informal assessment tools will be selected to evaluate your child’s speech and language skills. The assessment tools could range from something as formal as standardized tests to something as informal as observing your child interacting with you. The results will be analyzed and provided to you in an evaluation report. Based on the assessment, an individualized plan of therapy will be developed and presented to you for approval.

~WHAT DOES A THERAPY SESSION LOOK LIKE? The typical session is sixty minutes, with consultation time included at the beginning and end of the session. The parents or caregivers are more than welcome to stay during the session and, if they choose, to observe or participate. The therapeutic methodologies and materials will vary based on the child’s individual strengths and weaknesses as well as their interests. The therapy will be evidence based and will be designed to make the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time. At Reaching New Heights, the approach is eclectic, drawing from diverse theories and methods to develop a specialized means of treating each child as a unique individual.

Nine years ago today, I opened the first brick and mortar location of Reaching New Heights. I was the owner and the sole therapist. With two clients and big dreams, I worked so hard in that 3 room office to build a caseload of over 30 clients in the first year. Now we have 10,000 square feet, 4 disciplines (ST, OT, PT, ABA), school alternative programs, over 35 amazing staff members, 6 administrators and thousands of families that we have helped. I had dreams, but never dared to dream this big. To this day, I have the following quote on my business card "Leap and the net will appear". I am humbled, honored and grateful to all who have shared my vision of a business model that has nothing to do with business. Child First is not lip service at RNH and it never will be. Someone got a new name tag today after being promoted to LEAD RBT! Congratulations to Alyssa Krepps for not only being a brillaint and caring RBT, but also for being a kind and knowledgeable coworker and employee. Alyssa is always willing to step in where needed whether it’s covering a session or helping a client in need. Our Story

Reaching New Heights offers one on one and group speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and now ABA therapy in a kid friendly setting where family involvement is welcomed and encouraged! The philosophy at Reaching New Heights is child first. We will meet your child where he or she is right now. We will develop a treatment plan based on your child's strengths and weaknesses as well as likes and dislikes. Our goal is the same as yours - to help your child reach his or her true potential. Every child is unique and every child's needs are different. It is important that therapy be motivating, engaging and FUN so your child is an active participant and wants to come to the sessions.

Additionally, Reaching New Heights offers various group sessions including social skills, kindergarten readiness, sensory, literacy, and adapted dance. ~WHAT DOES AN INITIAL EVALUATION LOOK LIKE? The therapy will be evidence based and will be designed to make the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time. At Reaching New Heights, the approach is eclectic, drawing from diverse theories and methods to develop a specialized means of treating each child as a unique individual. As a multi-disciplinary center, the whole child can be treated by a collaborative team.
