Basement workout utilizing BFR (blood flow restriction) training with to maximize gains and minimize recovery!! Returning to miles this week after 3 weeks of reduced load. At 51 I have to be smarter and listen to my legs!!

Miles were up, speed was up, strength was increasing, but my lower legs were sore for a few weeks in a row and they needed a reset…so we went to the basement and decreased our miles!!

Multiple options for success, and more than one MAY be correct!

The human body can perform similar movements with different neuromuscular patterns and be successful with more than one pattern, until that pattern results in an unsustainable overload. At the point of an unsustained overload, pain and possibly injury will occur. Correction of movement is required to move forward.

Business and running form have collided in my world, so I have found my next successful pattern in both areas.

Emma Claire (my cool, smarter than me daughter) introduced me to the Wheaton College Swim and Dive team in Massachusetts this weekend to teach Sports Performance Nutrition!

They learned to lead their food choices and timing daily, pre-practice, pre-competition, and during competition based on the release of Insulin and how it affects their blood sugar, and muscle glycolysis.

Glucose, Fructose, Lactose, and Sucrose all have different relationships with Insulin…they can each be a superpower or an anchor!!

They learned about how to start the process of eating for performance!!! 😍

Another ON THE SPOT exercise for a tender Patellar Tendon! She needs a quick beginning to recovery…we will zoom up in a few days to complete a full program!
