Thanks to our friends from CC, Skippy and "the Doctor" for coming down to run a 911 call for us yesterday. They came down to assist when we had multiple calls at once. We will be sure to assist with a photo op of our own sometime. LOL

From the moment a 9-1-1 call hits the telecommunicators at Clinton County IL Sheriff's Office, Carlyle Illinois, resources are moving. In some cases, that looks like the fire department, police officers, deputies, air medical services, and not only our ambulance but also mutual aid ambulances. We are grateful for the teamwork of so many skilled resources that answer the call.

They say, "teamwork makes the dream work," and in our world, that is absolutely true. Thanks to everyone on our team.

New US Highway 50 is shut down in both directions from the Walnut Street ramps to St. Rose Road for an undetermined length of time. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

It was an honor to send a crew to cover the community of Highland overnight while their own people grieve the loss of Firefighter/EMT Gavin Schlarmann and prepare to lay him to rest today.

We are only one of many ambulance and fire services who have reached out and offered to ease the City of Highland's burdens while they honor Gavin. Across the lines of cities, districts, and counties, we are family.

Rest in peace, Gavin.

Active fire scenes need command structure, attack crews, ventilation, water supply, and more--- and also Firefighter Rehab.

Firefighters hate pausing their efforts to get their vitals checked out, and ambulance crews love to make them take that break. It's a love/hate relationship and a tale as old as time!

Great job to all the crews on today's house fire in Breese.
