📣 Attention high school juniors and seniors: Are you interested in a career in health care?

Check out the HSHS High School Bootcamp this summer. Participants will be able to job shadow and make connections with health care professionals at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital.

When Ricki visited HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese and Dr. Abigail Baker, he was struggling with hearing loss. He thought he was just having trouble with his hearing aids and instead discovered a life-changing solution.

Thank you to Tripp’s Tribe and the whole Kharibian family for donating Owlet monitors to support babies that may be at increased risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Tripp’s Tribe was founded by Gary and Kelsie Kharibian after the heartbreaking loss of their son, Tripp, who passed away from SIDS on April 4, 2019. They created the organization to honor Tripp’s memory and help prevent similar losses for other families.

The Owlet device tracks an infant’s pulse rate and oxygen saturation levels and provides real-time notifications to caregivers if readings fall outside preset ranges. The technology has been clinically tested in both home and hospital settings.

The Auxiliary of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese is currently accepting Grant in Aid applications for their Lights in Scholarship program, for anyone entering a medical or allied health field in the coming fall 2026 semester. A $1,000 Grant in Aid will be awarded to each recipient in June 2026.

Only current residents of Clinton County are eligible to apply. For the online application and scholarship guidelines, visit https://www.hshs.org/st-josephs-breese/giving-volunteering/auxiliary-scholarship-application. Applications are due May 1, 2026.
