🎉Welcome St. Joseph's Baby New Year for 2026!! 🎉
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese proudly welcomed Macey Jo Mueller as the first baby born at the hospital in 2026 to Kaitlin Manker and Kenneth Mueller of Venedy. She was delivered at 7:32 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Women and Infants Center, weighing 8 pounds and 20 inches long.

In celebration of being the first baby born in 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Macey Jo and her family were presented with a gift of baby items from St. Joseph’s Women and Infants Center and the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary.

The tradition continues at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital-Breese - Every Christmas Eve since 1922, the hospital colleagues and their families and Auxiliary volunteers visit each patient room sharing the good news of the birth of Jesus through carols and children portraying the Nativity. Volunteer Services also provided a gift for each patient during the visit. This event was organized by the Mission Committee.

Effective Monday, Dec. 22, we are implementing the following visitor guidelines during respiratory illness season across our HSHS Illinois and Wisconsin hospitals as a precautionary measure for the safety of our colleagues, patients and visitors:

Only two people are allowed to visit a patient at any one time.

Also, please do not visit patients if you:
• Have a cold or any flu-like symptoms including, fever or chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose
• Are under 18 years of age

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

In the spirit of Christmas, The HSHS St. Joseph Auxiliary donated several Christmas gifts to all the patients enrolled in the Senior Renewal Program, a program that offers group, individual and family counseling for adult seniors. Thank you to the St. Joseph's Auxiliary for helping to spread some holiday cheer.
