Hi, my name is Keyana and I graduated from Evergreen Beauty College in 2017 to become a Master Esthetician. I wanted to become an esthetician to learn more about skincare because I struggled with acne growing up.
I’ve always enjoyed facial treatments and in 2019 I started sugar waxing.

Hello Dahlia friends and family. It’s my privilege to be able to share with you a few of my thoughts about wellness. I agree with what all of my colleagues have offered: that wellness is a dance, not a destination, that good food, sleep, water, movement and community are all vital aspects of a life well lived. I’d like to share a foundational technique I use that has become essential to my wellbeing: self-compassion. Life is not easy, for anyone, and can feel overwhelming and lonely at times. When I am feeling that way, I have learned to take a breath, get quiet for a moment, connect to the parts of myself that are struggling, and speak to those parts the very words that they are longing to hear. Much the same way you would speak to a child or beloved friend or pet. For example “everything is going to be ok. You’ll get through this. You’re doing the best you can. You’re not in trouble. I’m proud of you. I love you. I’m not going anywhere .” When I can offer myself the very words that I most need to comfort and soothe myself, my shoulders drop, my breathing deepens and my perspective changes. I have used this technique to get through some pretty difficult times, and I hope this sparks something for you.
This kind of self compassion can be easily integrated into your massage session, so please let me know if you’d like to explore this during our time together. It’s an honor to be a part of your lives and I’m so thankful for each of you.

HYPERPIGMENTATION

- we all know it, and most of us struggle with it.

- hyperpigmentation is a common skin condition. Skin gets its color from a substance called melanin, which is made by skin cells. When those skin cells are damaged or unhealthy, they can produce too much melanin. The melanin can clump, causing that area to appear darker.
