🔄 From Struggle to Strength With a background in social services, mental health, and recovery, she has spent over a decade supporting children and families through foster care, treatment, and community programs. A Board-Certified Health Coach, Drugless Practitioner, and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Rebecca combines holistic wellness, social-emotional learning (SEL), and yoga to promote whole-person care — mental, physical, and emotional. Her passion grew from her own family’s journey after her son’s ADHD/ODD diagnosis and her personal recovery experience, inspiring her mission to make wellness accessible to all. Through Unity, Rebecca provides programs, coaching, and scholarships for individuals and families while building partnerships across Kitsap County. Outside of work, she loves traveling with her family, playing clean & sober softball, and serving on the CSSA and Mike’s Rides for Lives boards. 🌿💛

✨ Progress in Motion at Unity ✨

We’ve been working hard to thoughtfully improve our space for the people and families we serve—and it’s been such a rewarding process. 💪🏼

A huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Karen, Unity’s very first yoga partner. Her creativity, vision, and encouragement have been such a source of inspiration as we continue to build something meaningful together.

I’m deeply grateful and honored to share this journey with her and to keep growing a space rooted in wellness, connection, and community. This is just the beginning. 💛

✨ Wellness for Kids: Athlete Edition starts Tuesday, February 3, 2026! ✨

We’re excited to kick off Wellness for Kids: Athlete Edition — a free, community-based youth wellness program focused on movement, confidence, recovery, and healthy habits.

This program is not just for athletes — it’s for any youth who enjoys moving their body, wants to build confidence, or is looking for a supportive, non-competitive space. It’s also a great fit for kids between sports seasons.

On International Day of Education, we’re reminded that education isn’t just academic—it’s emotional, social, and life-shaping. At Unity, we’re committed to creating spaces where youth can learn, grow, and thrive. 💛

“I believe that education, and only education is the key which can open the dungeon of ignorance and allow our youth to share in the glory of a life lived joyously.” - MayaAngelou

Today, on International Day of Education, we celebrate education as a fundamental human right and a powerful pathway to peace, dignity, and possibility for every child and every community. With millions of young people still out of school worldwide, this day serves as both a reminder and a call to action: education must be inclusive, equitable, and accessible for all.

Dr. Maya Angelou understood this deeply. Her work reminds us that education is not just about information; it is about liberation, empathy, and the courage to rise.

In her iconic poem "Still I Rise," Dr. Angelou demonstrates how knowledge and self-understanding empower us to transcend adversity. And through her timeless guidance, “When you learn, teach. When you get, give,” she offers a blueprint for how education becomes a collective act of uplift and responsibility.

As we honor this global day, may we recommit to ensuring that every learner, regardless of background, geography, or circumstance, has the opportunity to rise, to imagine, and to shape a future worthy of their brilliance.
