Employee Highlight: Hello, my name is Cherish. I am the project manager for the R.E.A.L. team. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and I moved to Washington in 2021 intending to be the support that the state needs. With my lived experiences I love to support this community by being the helping hand I needed when I was in similar situations.

Our Story

Agape Unlimited was founded in 1985, offering affordable Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment in Kitsap County. In 1986, we started providing shelter services for homeless, chemically dependent men. This was our first opportunity to expand our services beyond our outpatient chemical dependency treatments. In 1989, the Koinonia Inn Transitional Housing Program opened in Port Orchard. We affectionately refer to this as the KI and are proud to help shelter pregnant, parenting women and their children. A year later, we were able to add FREE on-site licensed childcare services to the women and children who live there. This was a great addition to the licensed childcare already offered in our main office on Auto Center Way in Bremerton. As our growth continued, the Sisyphus II Permanent Housing Program opened its doors in 1995. This program provides safe, affordable housing for low-income, homeless individuals. In 2008, we expanded our services once again, bringing the Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) into Kitsap County. With this program, pregnant and parenting mothers receive alcohol and drug treatment and gain the life skills needed to be successful in their recovery.
