My approach to postpartum doula care is mother-centered. I want to mother you as the mother so you can learn to mother your baby. My services will get you off to a confident start. I will help with light housework, prepare a meal each day (planned ahead of time), help with feeding (however you choose to feed your baby), process your birth story, and be helping hands so you can shower, rest, and breathe easy.

Having six babies myself, I know how delicate and precious postpartum can be. I want it to be the most magical for you and your new baby.

Do you ever just meet people that fit? That was this group and this class reunion was one of my favorites. The ease that we all had sitting around visiting filled my soul in a way that I really needed in that moment. My favorite part of teaching birth classes is getting to witness their growth, bravery, and confidence as they plan their births. Then I get to hear their stories of triumph, joy, determination, and sheer freaking power. And to top it all off, I get to see them parent their new babies. These are lovely, lovely, amazing mothers with partners who are showing up and doing the work alongside them. I’m so proud of each of them. I feel so lucky to be part of something so special and so cool. It was so good to hang out with my friends again! 💕

Postpartum is a sacred, vulnerable time for Mothers and their babies. There is a phrase that I wish I remembered who said it which goes, “what the baby needs, the mother needs.” Babies need love, touch, nourishment, patience, and gentle care and so do their Mothers. This is the focus of my postpartum doula care. New Mothers need to be cared for and held as they learn to care for and hold their new babes. I’d love to be part of your postpartum care team. I’m so excited to announce this class! The Period Positive Workshop is for tween girls and their grownup (mom, aunt, grandmother, dad, etc!) We will discuss lots of topics to get them started on their journey in a gentle and age-appropriate way! Girls will build and take home a personalized period kit.
