To the woman inside of the mother. I see you. I hear you. I empathize with you. You are not alone. Motherhood is such an ongoing transitional time of life consisting of loving with all of your being and trying to also find yourself. 🤍

If you or any mamas that you know crave some extra support navigating perinatal mental health, whether that be pre-pregnancy, trying-to-conceive, infertility, pregnancy, loss, or postpartum, I would love to support you.

Grief. Grief is one of those things that ebbs and flows throughout life and never goes away. It can’t be outrun no matter how badly you wish it could be. There are days and moments it sits differently and may feel more manageable and other days where it feels like your world is falling apart all over again. One of the hardest things when sitting with grief is that your world completely changed in an instant, yet the rest of the world keeps moving on and you have no choice but to keep going. This is why statements like “you’re so strong” can be so painful to hear for a griever. If you are grieving today, please be gentle with yourself and take a moment to nurture your heart, mind, and body in some way that feels good to you. It won’t take the pain away, but letting it be felt and nurtured will hopefully make moving through it 1% lighter. Your grief matters. 🤍

There is so much more detail to this topic that can be incredibly helpful to learn about! Exploring what is physiologically happening with the brain and body when triggered and what that means for learning how to cope is one of my favorite things to do with clients. Knowing what is happening can help give us power over our symptoms and reactions, learn how to regulate and cope, and validate the out of control and overwhelming feelings that can arise when triggered.

These walks are unexplainable until you experience them, and at some point in life, we all have these walks. I am no stranger to these walks, and I want you to know your story and walks matter and deserve to be heard. Life can be so hard, and you do not deserve to walk it alone.

Have you ever wondered if it’s anxiety/stress talking or your intuition/gut trying to guide you? A lot of the work I do with clients involves building self-awareness, self-trust, and self-confidence. This can be extra challenging when anxiety can step in and get in the way of trying to trust oneself and intuition. These are a few of the things I share with clients to help decipher if it’s anxiety talking or your intuition/gut guiding you. Hopefully you find these helpful too! 🤍

There are so many factors that impact anxiety symptoms, and these are just a few of the many things that I encourage clients to explore to help reduce anxiety symptoms before starting medication or in conjunction with medication. 🤍

Please note, each client is different with different needs, so please consult with your provider(s) for your specific needs.

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news. Just as my clients put so much trust in showing up and vulnerably sharing their stories with me, I feel it’s important for me to do the same when very significant events happen that interplay with my work life and involve topics I am so passionate about working with my clients around.

Last week I had to abruptly cancel sessions due to a medical emergency of which I was hospitalized for a few days and had to walk through the process to deliver our daughter who had unexpectedly passed away during second trimester due to an extremely rare medical condition she developed. Unfortunately, pregnancy loss is not foreign to me, as I have walked through losing another daughter in 2022 prior to having my son. I am taking all the steps to process and heal while slowly getting back into seeing my clients starting later this week. I don’t share these parts of my story for pity. I share them because these are topics I have become so passionate about through my experiences through the years, whether that be normalizing talking about these topics publicly or supporting clients and their families through such heartbreaking similar experiences and grief. As I tell my clients walking through any kind of heartache or grief, I truly believe some experiences just have no good or positive side to them. Sometimes they’re just horrible and unfair situations we find ourselves in. The only bit of beauty I can ever find in these scenarios is the connection and healing found in understanding and supporting others through similar experiences, which I will forever continue to do with so much gentle love and care.

I so appreciate the patience and kindness as I continue to heal, and I am beyond grateful for those that continue to entrust me with their stories and allow me to walk beside them. I wish I could say pain is avoidable, but the truth is we are all human and are not immune to the pain of this world. We’re all just out here doing the best we can.

I look forward to seeing all of my clients soon and am so grateful for each and every one of you. 🤍
