This. I’m so thankful I have created a space that my clients love coming to and often don’t want to leave 🤍 Therapy should be a fun, happy, and positive experience for children. I had an SLP friend request info or a handout on how I explain behavior and the underlying causes to parents…This is something I talk about with families on a daily basis and is so important especially with minimally verbal or non verbal children. Their behavior IS how they communicate. I made this visual to help scratch the surface of this conversation and it’s posted on my website as a free download! It’s under the SLP webpage under free downloads. Behavior is so individual and specific, it’s impossible to put all the factors and components on a single handout but this does a good job covering the basics. I hope this is helpful! 😊

BIG NEWS!!!! We are getting a new clinic space starting July 1st! The best part is it’s only 1 minute away from our current location. I’m also THRILLED that we will have a SENSORY ROOM!!!! 🎉 I can’t wait for you all to see it once it all comes together! Ahhh!

Hey, look Mom, I made it. My mom called it earlier this year. She said “you’re gonna start presenting or speaking this year” and I thought she was crazy. I hate public speaking, I never imagined willingly doing presentations once college ended. Well, turns out moms do really always know, and she was right!

Braxy is SO excited to be offering IN HOME classes and activities to families in the Nashville and Brentwood area! This new website is such a cool way to get your child involved in fun activities without having to leave your house! You can invite a few of your child’s friends over to participate or have a personal class for your child or all of your children! I love this idea and am so honored to be apart of it! Let us know if there’s any specific groups or classes you’d like us to offer! 🎉

If you need an amazing occupational therapist, Alyssa is your girl! She and I connected because we have very similar approaches and values when it comes to therapy. She is play based, child led, and neurodiversity affirming! Can’t recommend her enough!!! If you’re in TN I highly recommend reaching out to her!
