Our Garden just got Wings! 🩋
We are thrilled to share that our resident courtyard is now officially certified as a butterfly garden! This week, our residents rolled up their sleeves for a fun craft project with Life Enrichment and created butterfly food to keep our new winged friends happy and fed.

It's a joy watching both our garden and our community bloom together.

"We're promoting love," one resident said, pausing mid-parade to share a hug with a staff member in the therapy department. That sums up the spirit of our 2nd Annual Pride Parade, a celebration of connection and inclusion. With every step, our residents reminded us that it’s never too late to stand up for what matters.

We're proud to foster an environment where everyone feels seen just as they are. You can read more about how support LGBTQ+ older adults in senior living communities here:

The Virtual Dementia Tour is a powerful tool that helps people step into the world of someone living with dementia, even if just for a few minutes.

This week, the NH Chronicle featured a closer look at the program. As producer Karen Meyers reflected, “If only my mom could’ve left that room.” Her words capture what so many families feel.

We’re so proud of our team for sharing their voices in this story and even more proud to offer this experience to our community.

If you’ve ever supported a loved one with memory loss, this story will speak to you.

Watch it here:

Caring for a spouse or parent with dementia can be both physically and emotionally exhausting. Now, a new tool is giving caregivers unique insight.

Since March, Gladys has been on an inspiring journey to walk the distance of a marathon.

After completing a physical therapy program, Gladys partnered with with our PT Jenna, to create an exercise program. Together, they calculated how many laps around the building added up to a mile and tracked the steps along the way.

Day by day, Gladys’ walking path wound through the hallways and grounds of our community. She logged her progress with Jenna, keeping track of how many miles she completed. It’s worth noting that the average American adult walks just over 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day. For many older adults, that number can be even lower.

Gladys' hard work paid off on Friday, May 30 when she finally completed her marathon miles. With her family by her side, we gathered to celebrate Gladys’s incredible achievement as she crossed the finish line. She was honored with a certificate and crowned in style—because every marathoner deserves a victory moment!

Her accomplishment is a shining example of what happens when we come together across departments to support our residents in reaching their goals.

We are so proud of you, Gladys! And now we can’t help but wonder
where will she walk to next?

Every year as we transition from spring to summer, we gather for an interfaith celebration of life honoring the residents we lost over the past year who called our community home.

In our industry, residents, families and staff walk through life’s seasons together. We’re more than just caregivers or neighbors, we are a true community. And that's what makes events like this so meaningful, where we can provide a space to come together not just to grieve but to remember.

This year, our theme was A Light Remembered - a reminder that even when our loved ones are no longer physically with us, their light continues to shine.
