Contra Costa County enters phase 1B (tier1) of Covid vaccination today. If you are a healthcare worker who has not yet been vaccinated, or are age 75 and over, please go the the county website at https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/vaccine and fill the form. The county will then be able to provide you with further instructions. As a reminder we do not have vaccine available in our office. The next phase after this will be phase 1 B (tier2)- age 65 and over and frontline essential workers

A COVID-19 vaccine is one of the most important tools to end the COVID-19 pandemic. A safe, effective, no-cost COVID-19 vaccine will be available to everyone in California.

As expected we have been getting a lot of questions and interest around vaccination for Covid. The Pfizer RNA vaccine requires ultra cold storage beyond normal freezer temperatures and is not something our office is equipped to deliver. The Moderna RNA vaccine requires freezer temperature storage. Currently the vaccines are being distributed to health care workers and elderly residents of nursing homes only. Once general distribution begins, CVS and Walgreens pharmacy will be the expected avenues to get vaccinated. Because of the uncertainty related to supply, timeline and vaccine storage issues we are not currently formulating a list of patients that are interested in the vaccine, but will update everyone as soon as we have more information. Starting 6/1/2020 we will be available for in office appointments. For the safety of all our patients, we will be limiting the number of daily office appointments to follow distancing and safety guidelines. We encourage all patients to continue to request Telemedicine appointments when possible. No walk ins and no accompanying family members please. A face covering is required to enter the office.

Responsibilities:
Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
