We’re excited to welcome Chris Thomas to Michael’s House Treatment Center as our Pride Program Therapist! 🌈

Chris brings over 26 years of experience in behavioral health, with a strong background in substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health. After earning his Master’s Degree in Counseling, he completed his internship right here at Michael’s House in Palm Springs. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, he has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Chris has developed our Pride Program, which launched in late March/early April—committed to clinical excellence, cultural responsiveness and creating an environment where people feel supported, respected and genuinely cared for as we serve the LGBTQI+ community.

It’s a time to celebrate the strengths, perspectives and individuality of people on the autism spectrum while also recognizing the challenges they may face. By promoting acceptance, we help create communities where neurodiversity is valued, stigma is reduced and everyone has the opportunity to feel seen, supported and empowered to thrive.

Alcohol misuse can affect anyone, and it often begins quietly: increased stress, changes in routine or using alcohol to cope. But recognizing the signs is a powerful first step toward change.

What makes the difference in recovery? How can one help a struggling person find his or her way to healing? Substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions provide a number of formidable obstacles that can keep individuals from living the healthy, happy lives that they deserve. What does it take to usher a person from the disease of addiction into long-term recovery? At Foundations Recovery Network, we believe in providing evidence-based, integrated treatment and patient-centered care. We treat the whole person, mind, body and spirit. Because we treat both substance use and underlying mental health conditions, we are able to address the root causes of addiction and prepare individuals for a sustainable life in recovery. We specialize in a Dual Diagnosis treatment approach, and we have been cited as the “gold standard” in the behavioral health industry, classified in the top 5% of treatment programs according to the Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center. Our methods are outcomes-informed and patient-centered. Our compassionate staff is highly trained in co-occurring disorders treatment, and we believe that real relationships and positive support solidify the unique effectiveness of our spectrum of therapeutic programs. We offer both residential and outpatient treatment services across the country, with modern accommodations and specialized services that keep patients comfortable and engaged as they find healing. Our family of treatment centers includes four residential facilities and six outpatient facilities.
