The Senior Life Solutions team in Coleman, TX came together to create a remembrance tree as a symbol of hope, healing, and support for Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month.

Wrapped in purple and teal, the national colors of su***de prevention, the tree is decorated with awareness ribbons, bracelets, and encouraging messages to the Coleman community. Each light on the tree represents a reminder that no one is ever truly alone.

The display also highlights the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, a call or text resource available 24/7 for anyone experiencing emotional distress, thoughts of su***de, or supporting a loved one in crisis.

Thank you to the team at Coleman County Medical Center!

Shoutout to MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin’s Senior Life Solutions team for their creative and heartfelt efforts during Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month.

They brought hope and positivity to the community by creating two hope/kindness rock gardens in downtown Gladwin, and introducing “Ray the Rainbow,” a colorful rock snake made of painted rocks with uplifting messages on the hospital campus. 🌈

These projects not only brighten public spaces but also remind us all that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you, Gladwin SLS team, for spreading awareness and hope in such a meaningful way!

Our Story

The father and son duo of Dr. James A. Greene and J.R. Greene have spent their careers working to improve the quality of life of older adults in rural communities.

James A. Greene, M.D., a native of rural Sneedville, Tennessee, has dedicated his life’s work to geriatric psychiatry. His professional career spans 50 years, including 40 years in active clinical practice or academic teaching and over 30 years in geriatric psychiatry.

“I always had a strong interest in working with families, either primary care or psychiatry,” says Dr. Greene. “I wanted to focus on building relationships and talking to folks.”

Dr. Greene founded his first company, Geriatric Medical Care (GMC), in 1992. GMC focused on the management of geriatric inpatient and outpatient care programs. During Dr. Greene’s tenure, GMC gained national attention and became the 5th largest behavioral health contract management firm before being acquired in 1997.
