Senior Life Solutions at Broaddus Hospital celebrated World Kindness Day with a “sweet treat” event in the hospital lobby.

The team spent the day handing out Danishes to staff and patients, sharing program information, and encouraging everyone to take part in the spirit of the day by doing one kind thing for someone else.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped spread a little extra kindness throughout the hospital. Moments like these help strengthen connection and remind us how small gestures can make a big difference.

The Senior Life Solutions team at Henry County Health Center is celebrating five years of service to their community! What makes this anniversary especially meaningful is that the original three team members are still serving in their roles today.

Program director Chasity Lange, OPC Jess Lanman, and program therapist Chris Betsworth began their journey together, and they've continued to grow with the addition of a second track led by Program Nurse Mary Hummel and Program Therapist Leanne Bergey.

This week, the hospital hosted an open house to honor the team’s dedication and impact. Regional director Jill Sherwood and senior regional director Whitney Feldman also joined in on the celebration.

Congratulations to the team! We can't wait to see how they continue to support the mental health of older adults in their community.

Hillcrest Hospital Cushing, in Cushing, OK, opened a new 21-bed inpatient behavioral health unit this week. PMC is proud to partner with the hospital and will be managing the unit. With more than 1.9 million Oklahomans living in rural areas without enough mental health professionals and over 40% of rural residents forced to travel long distances for care, this addition brings care closer to home for many in need. Kudos to the Cushing team for thoughtfully re-imagining their space to better serve the community and meet this growing need.

Our Story

The father and son duo of Dr. James A. Greene and J.R. Greene have spent their careers working to improve the quality of life of older adults in rural communities.

James A. Greene, M.D., a native of rural Sneedville, Tennessee, has dedicated his life’s work to geriatric psychiatry. His professional career spans 50 years, including 40 years in active clinical practice or academic teaching and over 30 years in geriatric psychiatry.

“I always had a strong interest in working with families, either primary care or psychiatry,” says Dr. Greene. “I wanted to focus on building relationships and talking to folks.”

Dr. Greene founded his first company, Geriatric Medical Care (GMC), in 1992. GMC focused on the management of geriatric inpatient and outpatient care programs. During Dr. Greene’s tenure, GMC gained national attention and became the 5th largest behavioral health contract management firm before being acquired in 1997.
