Today we’re shining a light on Maribeth Christensen, program therapist for Senior Life Solutions at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning, Iowa.

Maribeth is the kind of teammate who makes everyone around her better. She consistently goes above and beyond for patients and for the hospital, whether she’s supporting group members with thoughtful handouts and topic resources, building a calendar of events to help reduce isolation, or jumping in to help the hospital marketing team with education, interviews, and videos. She’s also mentoring the next generation of social workers, currently supporting two interns placed with the program.

Most importantly, Maribeth is a steady advocate for mental health and a trusted leader within the program. Thank you, Maribeth, for the care, compassion, and consistency you bring to your patients, your teammates, and your community.

Faith Jacobson and Sherry Stockdill from CHI St. Alexius Health's Senior Life Solutions program were out in the community at the FFA Ag Show in Garrison, ND, helping shine a light on something a lot of folks carry quietly: farm stress and mental health.

Farming comes with long hours, unpredictable seasons, financial pressure, and a whole lot of responsibility. If you or someone you care about has been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, down, or just not like themselves, you are not alone and support is available.

Talk about inspiration. Here's a great story about how Doug Wilson started ITP, our telehealth division. It's a tale about making the right connections and tenaciously pursuing a dream to change an entire industry. ITP's behavioral provider services have become critical in rural and remote areas and given hospitals, clinics, and jails reliable access to mental health professionals.

Marketplaces exist to bring creators and providers closer to customers and clients.

Our Story

The father and son duo of Dr. James A. Greene and J.R. Greene have spent their careers working to improve the quality of life of older adults in rural communities.

James A. Greene, M.D., a native of rural Sneedville, Tennessee, has dedicated his life’s work to geriatric psychiatry. His professional career spans 50 years, including 40 years in active clinical practice or academic teaching and over 30 years in geriatric psychiatry.

“I always had a strong interest in working with families, either primary care or psychiatry,” says Dr. Greene. “I wanted to focus on building relationships and talking to folks.”

Dr. Greene founded his first company, Geriatric Medical Care (GMC), in 1992. GMC focused on the management of geriatric inpatient and outpatient care programs. During Dr. Greene’s tenure, GMC gained national attention and became the 5th largest behavioral health contract management firm before being acquired in 1997.
