This Heart Health Month, our Compassus home health team in Columbia, MO, marked the observance with a double celebration ❤️

Together, they honored Go Red for Women – raising awareness for women's heart health – and spread joy during Valentine’s Day. Dressed in red or hearts, our team recognized the importance of prioritizing heart health especially for women in our community.

Through caring actions and thoughtful reminders, they inspired others to adopt heart-healthy habits and embrace wellness. We’re so grateful for their commitment to heart health and to leading with compassion and care.

At Compassus, we believe in creating meaningful moments. This Valentine’s Day, our hospice team in Hamburg, PA, hosted a beautiful lunch date for three of our patients and their spouses.

The luncheon at Providence Place Senior Living of Pottsville, PA, featured beautifully decorated tables with fresh floral centerpieces, a delicious meal and sweet treats all set to the soft sound of romantic music. One of the sweetest moments was watching Elmer and his wife, Sandy, share a dance.

Special thanks to our teammates Cathy, Ashley, Tammie and Rachel for making this day so special! We’re honored to create moments of joy that will last a lifetime for our patients and their families.

For Ascension at Home together with Compassus Physical Therapist Alvin Guangco in Kokomo, IN, care doesn’t end when the appointment does.

Alongside physical therapy, Alvin shares his love of music with his home health patients — creating moments of connection, comfort and joy that truly reflect personalized care.

And his impact extends beyond the home. A local assisted living community invited Alvin to be the featured performer and host of their annual Valentine’s Dance — a reflection of the relationships he’s built and the care he offers every day.

At Compassus, we believe that healthcare is about more than treating symptoms—it’s about honoring the whole person. That’s why we employ a holistic approach to care that addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Our hospice care teams often include:
- Music therapists, who use music to reduce pain and bring peace to restless patients.
- Pet therapists, who help patients break down the walls of loneliness and isolation.
- Chaplains, who provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families from all faiths or belief systems.

These forms of care create meaningful connections at the end of life, while offering solace during a challenging time. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3QZiQYH.

Valentine’s Day is about love — and at Compassus, love is at the center of everything we do.

It’s in the kindness of a home health visit.
It’s in the comfort provided during hospice care.
It’s in the dignity we honor through every stage of life.

We are grateful for the patients and families who invite us into their homes, and for the teammates who serve with compassion every day. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Compassus 🩷
