Last week, KidLink team members Kelli McAbee, Sr. Divisional Director of Business Development, and Rebecca Townsend, Military Support Services Account Manager, had the privilege of attending the Black History Month program at Alabama Clinical Schools in Birmingham.

Students performed a powerful play honoring the Greensboro Four and their historic sit-in at the Woolworth cafeteria counter. Their delivery was confident and moving, and the preparation was evident in every detail.

This program, led by Director of Education Armanda Purifoy, reflected the strength of the educational program at Alabama Clinical Schools. Under the leadership of CEO Drayton Holmes, the integration of therapeutic support and academic growth is evident throughout the campus. Clinical care provides stability and safety. Education builds confidence, voice, and opportunity.

At KidLink, our mission is to provide compassionate and timely access to care by connecting children, adolescents, and their families with quality residential treatment programs. Moments like this reflect that mission in action, where students are supported clinically, academically, and socially in environments that foster growth and hope.

Some of the best learning (and conversations) happen when like-minded people gather together!

Several KidLink programs representing youth residential treatment, recently attended the Annual NATSAP (National Association of Therapeutic Schools & Programs) Conference. This conference spanned 3 days and included many valuable breakout sessions, such as patient/person-first trauma care, the latest approaches to OCD treatment, navigating insurance funding and advocacy, team-based medication management, self-care, and many more.

It’s always energizing to connect with colleagues who have a shared mission and are also part of the KidLink Treatment Services network.

🎄✨A Very Merry Misfit Christmas! ✨🎄

Who says the holidays have to be picture-perfect? This year, we’re embracing the crooked trees, mismatched ornaments and the wrapping paper that almost covers the gift.

Because the best memories aren’t flawless — they’re full of laughter, chaos, and maybe a little too many sweets. 💚❤️ Happy Holidays from our Referral Processing Team!
