Our outing to Lake Julian today was a resounding success, with the warm sunshine, boats, and ducks combining to create a rejuvenating atmosphere perfect for a picnic gathering. The refreshing boat ride and subsequent picnic were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

As you know, Cedar Mountain House has recently faced the challenges of wildfires in Western North Carolina and responded in an incredibly thoughtful and effective way. Cedar Mountain has shared their story in a press release, detailing their efforts.

UPDATE ON CEDAR MOUNTAIN HOUSE

We’ve got some fantastic news! 🌟 ALL residents have been safely transported back to Cedar Mountain. After receiving the all-clear today, everyone is now securely home. 🏡

A huge thank you to everyone involved: first responders, fire departments, support center, staff, families, and especially the Stonecroft team members for their care, compassion, and hard work during these challenging times.

UPDATE ON CEDAR MOUNTAIN HOUSE

All residents have been peacefully transferred to our sister community, Stonecroft Assisted Living. Currently, everyone is feeling comfortable and full after having a great dinner at Stonecroft. Many thanks to all the first responders, team members and families for their help with this transition.

Urgent Update on Cedar Mountain House Evacuation

Due to the ongoing fires in the area, Cedar Mountain House residents are being safely evacuated. They are being transported to Stonecroft Assisted Living in Flat Rock, NC, where they will be taken care of during this difficult time.

We want to reassure that families have been, or are in the process of being contacted with these updates. Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of our residents. The fire department has been incredibly diligent in their efforts, and we are grateful for their hard work in ensuring everyone’s safety.

Please keep all the residents, their families, and the dedicated emergency teams in your thoughts as they navigate this challenging situation.

UPATE ON CEDAR MOUNTAIN HOUSE AND LOCAL FIRES:

At this time, our community is NOT being evacuated from the fires occurring in Transylvania County. Cedar Mountain House is still 11+ miles away from the current fires.

Families of the residents have been or are still being contacted and being kept informed. The situation is being continuously monitored, and the safety of our residents remains a top priority.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the fire department and all first responders for their tireless efforts and quick action in these challenging circumstances.
