SNOWDAY on Cape! 😁 Wet snow is heavy snow and it’s been a long time since any of us have shoveled. Here are some helpful reminders to protect your back when shoveling:

❄️Bend at your knees and hips (NOT your back) to scoop the snow.

❄️Intentionally engage your abdominal muscles – especially just before you lift the snow, while carrying the snow-loaded shovel, and when throwing the snow.

❄️Keep the load of snow on the shovel light and make more trips.

❄️Keep the loaded shovel closer to your body as you carry it before dumping.

❄️Try to periodically switch up your front foot/throwing hand.

Have FUN – don’t forget to build a snowman ☃️
