Guardian Veterinary Specialists is a 29,000 square foot advanced care referral specialty and 24 hour emergency and critical care hospital located at 4 Hardscrabble Heights in Brewster, NY. Our hospital serves pet owners and their pets, and community veterinarians in Putnam, Dutchess, Westchester, Fairfield, Orange, Rockland and Bronx counties, and surrounding communities in the Northeast.
Guardian Veterinary Specialists is founded by Jason Berg, DVM, DACVIM, a highly respected, board certified neurologist and internist with over 22 yearsโ experience in practice and as a veterinary business founder and owner. A much sought-after lecturer and instructor, both nationally and internationally, Dr. Berg is also a published author with articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as the American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Internal Medicine, and American Animal Hospital Association, among others. He has held multiple positions with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and he is president of the Westchester Rockland Veterinary Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Berg has received numerous accolades and awards for his compassionate work with the shelter and rescue communities, and he is currently on the advisory board for the Westchester SPCA. Dr. Berg has devoted his life to practicing veterinary medicine with a difference. Incorporating compassion and sensitivity to pet parents and their pets with professionalism, integrity, and values, he strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and toward advancing veterinary medicine. With the opening of Guardian Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Bergโs goals are to provide the most compassionate and expert medical care and the latest technological and therapeutic advances available anywhere to help pets back on the road to recovery and live happy and healthy lives to the fullest.
