To Our Community,
We want to assure you that Three Rivers Hospital’s doors remain open, and our commitment to providing quality local healthcare remains as strong as ever.
You may have seen that our hospital was included on a national list of rural facilities that could be at risk due to recent federal Medicaid cuts. We were not consulted before this report was published, and inclusion does not mean closure is imminent.
Like many rural hospitals, we are facing real challenges due to significant funding reductions at both the state and federal levels. These include:
• Cuts to Medicaid funding.
• New taxes and decreased reimbursements that affect our bottom line.
These changes are likely to have an impact over the next 1-3 years – not immediately. There are no current plans to reduce services or shut down the hospital.
We also understand that many of our patients depend on Apple Health (Medicaid). We are committed to helping individuals navigate any changes in eligibility or coverage and will continue working with the state and our partner organizations to support you.
We know how important it is to keep care close to home. As we better understand the financial impacts, we’ll work closely with our Board of Commissioners to make the most responsible, community-focused decisions possible.

A Nuestra Comunidad:
Queremos asegurarles que el Hospital Three Rivers no va a cerrar. Nuestras puertas están abiertas, y nuestro compromiso de brindar atención médica local de calidad sigue siendo tan fuerte como siempre.
Es posible que haya visto que nuestro hospital fue incluido en una lista nacional de instituciones de salud rurales que podrían estar en peligro debido a los recientes recortes federales de Medicaid. No se nos consultó antes de publicar este informe, y su inclusión no significa que el cierre sea inminente.
Como muchos hospitales rurales, nos enfrentamos a verdaderos retos debido a las importantes reducciones de financiación tanto a nivel estatal como federal. Entre ellos se incluyen:
• Recortes en la financiación de Medicaid.
• Nuevos impuestos y disminución de los reembolsos que afectan nuestro balance final.
Es probable que estos cambios repercutan en los próximos 1 a 3 años - no inmediatamente. No hay planes para reducir servicios o cerrar el hospital.
Tambien entendemos que muchos de nuestros pacientes dependen de Apple Health (Medicaid). Estamos comprometidos a ayudar a las personas a explorar cualquier cambio en la elegibilidad o cobertura y seguiremos trabajando con el estado y nuestras organizaciones asociadas para apoyarle.
Sabemos lo importante que es mantener la atención médica cerca de casa. A medida que entendamos mejor las repercusiones financieras, trabajaremos en estrecha colaboración con nuestra Junta Directiva para tomar las decisiones más responsables y centradas en la comunidad posibles.
