October is a great month to schedule a yearly mammogram.
Here are a few statistics about this terrible disease:
*1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
*There are 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. right now.
*An estimated 42,250 U.S. women will die from breast cancer in 2024.
*Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancer.
*The average age of U. S. women diagnosed with breast cancer is 62 years old.

Today is Shannon's birthday! Let's wish her a happy one!🎉🎊🎈🎂

Shannon is one of our pharmacists at Medical Center Pharmacy and was previously with Cottrell's Hometown Pharmacy. "I love the friendly, hometown atmosphere that we have here at MCP", says Shannon of her job.

When she's not working Shannon enjoys traveling and hunting for antiques. She also enjoys working in her yard.

Shannon and her husband, Allen, have been married for 36 years. They have 1 daughter, Katie, and 1 son, Josh. They also have 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
