We are pleased to announce two significant leadership appointments within our Laboratory Department: Jessica Griffin, MT, ASCP, has joined the organization as Hospital Lab Manager, and Kimberly Knowles, MT, ASCP, has been promoted to Laboratory Director.

Kimberly Knowles brings over 22 years of experience, 12 of which have been at DW McMillan serving in various leadership roles across both the hospital and its affiliated clinics. In her new role as Laboratory Director, she will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all laboratory operations across DW McMillan Memorial Hospital, DW McMillan Medical Center, and Flomaton Medical Center.

“Kim has been an integral part of the DW McMillan team, and her promotion reflects her proven expertise, dedication, and leadership in advancing laboratory excellence,” said Stacy Hines, Administrator.

Joining the team under Knowles' leadership is Jessica Griffin, who will focus on the hospital laboratory as the new Hospital Lab Manager. Griffin brings a wealth of experience from large hospital systems, with a strong track record in lab operations, staff development, and patient care. She will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital laboratory, ensuring compliance with quality standards and supporting the continued growth of DW McMillan’s lab services.

“These appointments mark an important step in DW McMillan’s mission to deliver outstanding laboratory services while fostering continued growth and innovation,” added Hines. “Griffin and Knowles are exceptional leaders who bring both vision and experience to our laboratory team. Their leadership will strengthen our services, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure we continue providing the highest standards of care and testing for our patients and providers.”
