Our Patient Access Department serves as the front line of the patient healthcare experience, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment coordination. This team plays a critical role in facilitating a smooth care experience while supporting compliance, billing accuracy, and overall patient satisfaction.

Thank you so much to Brandi Belle Isle for inviting DWMMH Director of Nursing, Leanne Rowell, to speak with upcoming RN graduates at Coastal Alabama Community College Nursing and Allied Health (Brewton Campus).

LeAnne had the opportunity to share insights about the rewarding path of becoming a Registered Nurse, discuss what it's like to work in a hospital setting, and encourage these future nurses as they prepare to enter the healthcare field.

We are grateful for the chance to connect with such a dedicated group of students and wish them the very best as they begin their nursing careers. The future of healthcare is bright.

Colorectal Cancer Facts

Most polyps are not cancerous, but some can develop into colon cancers over time if not removed!

Not all polyps will become cancerous, but all colorectal cancers begin as polyps!

Adenomatous polyps account for 96% of colorectal cancers and are the most common type of polyp removed during colonoscopy procedures!

Colorectal cancer is slow-growing, which means there are plenty of opportunities for this type of cancer to be detected before it has spread outside of the colon or re**um. It takes several years for a polyp to develop and turn cancerous.
