For 26 years, Heather Roberts has been an essential part of the AMIB family. Beginning her journey at the Müller Home at age 19, Heather has made a lasting impact on the individuals she supports and on her colleagues.

Heather describes the residents and the amazing staff she works alongside as her second family, and looks forward to continuing to grow within the organization. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to AMIB’s mission shine through each and every day.

When she’s not working, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her four wonderful boys and has a fun passion for karaoke!

We are grateful for Heather’s longstanding service and the heart she brings to AMIB.
Thank you sincerely, Heather Roberts — your kindness and devotion truly make a difference!

Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of justice, equality, and human dignity. His vision reminds us that true belonging is created when every person has the opportunity to be seen, heard, and valued.

At AMIB, we continue this work by building a world where individuals of all abilities are fully included, supported, and empowered to live meaningful lives within their communities.

As temperatures drop and winter weather sets in, staying safe and warm is more important than ever. Here are 8 helpful health and safety reminders to keep you, your family, and your community protected this season:

- Dress in dry, layered clothing
- Keep meters & vents clear of snow and ice
- Push snow rather than lifting heavy piles
- Clear sidewalks & fire hydrants
- Never heat your home using a gas stove
- Light the match FIRST if your range has no pilot
- Take precautions to avoid frozen pipes
- Keep your thermostat above 55° to prevent freezing

Small steps make a big difference, stay safe, stay warm, and take care of one another this winter!
