Jenn C. Wood, Development Associate for AMIB, recently had the opportunity to tour the Jersey Shore BlueClaws stadium and proudly accept a grant check from Jim McNamara, Vice President of Community Relations and Sales and Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities. This generous grant from BlueClaws Charities supports AMIB’s mission to promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in our community. Recently, AMIB employees participated in crisis management training led by our trainer, Robert Tarver.

This training emphasized the importance of moving from simply managing crises to leading through them, ensuring our organization can continue to thrive during disruption and uncertainty. We’re grateful for the opportunity to strengthen our skills and better support our residents, staff, and community.

Jenn C. Wood, Development Associate for AMIB, had the pleasure of attending a wonderful pasta dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus in Lavallette, NJ. During the evening, Jenn proudly accepted a generous donation from Tom Leonard, Grand Knight of Council 8415.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Knights of Columbus and their commitment to helping individuals who are blind or visually impaired live with independence and dignity.

Even on the coldest winter days, our AMIB team shows up with heart. Shoutout to Jonathan for helping out at one of our Brick homes after the now storm last month. He pitched in on a snowy day to keep things safe and accessible for our residents.

A huge THANK YOU to Jenessa from our Bayville Home for bringing so much joy and connection to one of our residents!

She had Juan overjoyed, laughing, and fully engaged. It was truly heartwarming to see! We recently purchased a lighted bowling game, and he responded so positively to it!

At AMIB, moments like these remind us how meaningful connection, play, and supportive programming can be.
