Ergonomics: an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently.

The ergonomics of your work station - in the office or at home - has an effect not only on your efficiency, but your posture. The diagram below reflects ideal office ergonomics, which are simple fixes you can make to your home office! Your chair is the key to proper posture and should offer lumbar support, a back rest, and have adjustable height. Your monitor should be directly in front of you at arm’s length away. Additionally, your keyboard and mouse should be positioned close together so your arms make an approximate 90 degree angle.
