March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month—a crucial time to emphasize the importance of prevention. Recognizing screening guidelines, risk factors, and available screening methods is vital. We are dedicated to helping you understand your options and the limitations that stool and blood based screening methods have when compared to colonoscopy.

Important Considerations:

*Stool and blood tests primarily detect cancer, they do not prevent it.
*A positive result on a stool or blood test requires a follow-up colonoscopy.
*Colonoscopy is considered the gold standard as the only screening method that detects and removes precancerous polyps, actively reducing the risk of cancer development.

Don't wait—get screened today. Consult with your doctor to determine the most suitable screening method for your individual needs.

March is Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about a disease that affects millions worldwide. CRC is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States alone. It is important to note that CRC is highly treatable when caught early through screening. Colonoscopy, recognized as the gold standard screening method, can detect and remove precancerous polyps before they evolve into cancer.

With CRC on the rise amongst younger people, regular screening starting at age 45 is crucial. Early detection saves lives.
