Job Description:
South West Texas Home Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our home health team. This role is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with a strong background in home health nursing and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Oversee and manage all clinical aspects of home health services.
โข Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
โข Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
โข Provide leadership, training, and supervision to nursing and clinical staff.
โข Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
โข Monitor patient care plans and ensure the highest quality of service.
โข Handle audits, reporting, and quality assurance initiatives.
โข Participate in recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
Qualifications:
โข Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of TX
โข Bachelorโs or Masterโs Degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN) preferred but not required.
โข Preferred 3-5 years of experience in home health nursing, with leadership experience.
โข Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and home health regulations.
โข Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
โข Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple priorities.
