April might be well underway, but our appreciation for Occupational Therapy Month is right on time 💙

At Synergy Rehab, we never want to rush recognition—especially when it comes to the incredible impact our team members make every single day. We chose to take a little extra time this month to truly reflect on the difference our OT services bring to our patients and our community.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Lindsey Bairn, whose dedication, compassion, and attention to detail consistently go above and beyond. Lindsey meets each patient where they are, helping them regain independence, confidence, and function in ways that truly change lives.

Whether she’s guiding someone through recovery, adapting tasks to fit their needs, or simply offering encouragement on a tough day, Lindsey embodies what Occupational Therapy is all about.

How Strong Is Your Grip? | Happy OT Month

We’re celebrating Occupational Therapy Month with a Grip Strength Challenge at Synergy.

Grip strength is more than just hand strength.

It is one of the quickest ways to measure overall strength and function. Research shows it is linked to independence, fall risk, and even long-term health. It can also be an early sign of decreased upper extremity function before bigger issues arise.

How to participate:

Comment or post your guess (in pounds)
Stop by the clinic to test your grip
See if you can make the leaderboard
We will have three age groups:
13–17 | 18–64 | 65+
One winner in each group.

It takes less than two minutes.

As our Patient Care Coordinator, she helps guide patients through scheduling, paperwork, and insurance questions—making sure your experience feels welcoming from the very beginning.

Tina loves getting to know our patients and being part of a team that supports your health and well-being. Outside the clinic, she’s usually spending time with family, cheering on her kids, or enjoying the outdoors.

🚒🔥 Supporting the Firefighters Protecting Our Community 🔥🚒

The team at Synergy Rehab wants to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the volunteer firefighters and emergency crews working tirelessly to battle the wildfire impacting our rural communities.

We know the long hours, heavy gear, smoke exposure, and demanding physical work can take a serious toll on the body. Because of that, Synergy Rehab in Bridgeport is offering complimentary injury screenings and recovery sessions for volunteer firefighters actively assisting with the wildfire response.

Our physical and occupational therapy team can help with:
• Muscle and joint pain relief
• Mobility and flexibility work
• Overuse injury management
• Breathing and rib mobility techniques
• Taping and supportive treatment to help keep you moving safely

If you are a volunteer firefighter currently helping with the wildfire response, please stop by our clinic in Bridgeport or give us a call to schedule a quick recovery visit. It’s a small way we can support those who are giving so much to protect our communities.
