Over 200 members of the community volunteer adding their personal touch as activity leaders, friendly visitors and in a variety of other roles. A full range of services are provided to to meet the needs of seniors in the community, including the Friedman Home Care Agency, Grasmere on Park Adult Day program, Chaifetz Family Hospice, the Institute on Aging which offers Geriatric Assessments and Care Management;Azheimer and dementia care and family support groups;Long term care protection through Senior Choice at Home, a membership based program that delivers the full range of in-home and nursing home care. Also, in response to an unfortunate but critical need, the Center for Elder Abuse Prevention, the first in the state of Connecticut. As the needs of seniors evolve, Jewish Senior Services will continue to grow and continue to be a community resource for the entire region.
