Our Story

The Families: Agnant, Balthazar and d’Haiti in July 1998 met the host Brice family in Stamford, Connecticut coming from West Palm Beach, Florida, and especially to listen to Mr. Verna Brice lecture of his life experience and the actual situation of Haiti. On what he was engaged on or has been doing once in the country. They realized his heart goes to the needy children whom he considers to be the future of the country. As they are listening to him they become familiar and willing to be like him a change carrier. Concerned about this, they ask Mr. Verna Brice as soon as it is possible to come up with a viable proposition so they can engage themselves to help.

On Sunday, March 14, 1999, once again, the families are met and that: "Based on 1996 statistics from Haiti, where 65% of the active population is unemployed with no hope for employment. 80% of the population is illiterate. Most adults cannot support their families. "For these reasons, and the United Nations Indices of Human Development (poverty line), they are committed to support the effort. And, the next day, March 15, 1999, we created EFO PA NOU an outreach organization for community development based in the United States for the sole purpose of helping needy children of Haiti to enable them to acquire a formal education. So, they may be in a better position than their parents once they become adults. Not only they will be educated, but they will also be employable.
